How to decide what plane to start a new drawing
How do I decide, basically, where to start when starting a new drawing? So everyone knows I am 100% completely green to SolidWorks. This is probably a difficult answer to answer. Please see the attached photo. I would think that one would start on a top plane? I have experience with AutoCad and Architectural drawing and you pretty much always start with a 2D floor plan view but 3D mechanic drafting tends to very how a person would start drawing a part

Cylindrical-Geometry battery system
The following files contain 3 parts and their assembly. The concept is that the anode and the cathode materials are inserted in grain form in the outer ring and the inner circle that can be seen in the assembly and small pieces of Wettex, soaked in electrolyte solution, are placed in the slits of the membrane housing, acting as the battery membrane. A stainless steel pipe was embeded in a PVC pipe and was placed on the rim of the outside ring, working as a current collector for one pole. For the other pole, a thin metal rod was used as a current collector, which would come in contact with the respective material through the little hole on the top of the battery cap. P.S.: Some of my friends say that the whole thing looks like an arc reactor from Iron Man, so if you are a big Marvel fan I guess you could print the whole thing out, add some lights to it and you would have Tony Stark's heart. Have a nice day.
