I’ve always wanted to actually learn SOLIDWORKS the right way not just random tutorials but with real structure, guidance, and people who get it. Already dove into the first few lessons, and wow… things are finally starting to click. If you’re a beginner too what was the first thing that made you feel like “yes, I’m finally getting it”? Let’s build toget her 💥

Hi everyone, hope you all are doing good. I am not able to mirror the fillet as instructed for space mouse. Can somebody kindly instructed me the next step? It says Rebuilt errors: cannot fillet a tangent edge. Thank you.

Motor mount piece
In this post you will see a vertical motor mount for a 25mm, cylindrical, DC motor. The idea is that the motor is to be placed vertically relative to a driving shaft and the power is transmitted from the motor to the wheels via bevel gear coupling. The motor is secured on the mount with 3mm screws, while the mount itself is secured on the required surface (in my case, that of a ~20mm-thick wooden chasis) with 5mm screws. I hope that you like what you see. Have a nice day.

4-months work "clip dump"
Hi everyone, I'm writing this post as general announcement, in order to inform you that over the span of the next 36 hours I will be posting most of the work I did on Solidworks for the last academic semester, which is tied to a student-team competition I took part in, where we had to design and afterwards build a small chasis, a battery system for the chasis, as well as a chemically controlled stopping mechanism, through which the distance that the wheels of the chasis travel is determined. Anyone who's interested, feel free to check it out.
