How Do You Stay Grounded When Life Feels Heavy?
I’m in a season where there’s a lot of negativity around me that I can’t just step away from. Add in homeschooling, client work, house life, and still recovering from being sick—my mental space feels maxed out. One of my default coping methods has always been to start a new project (and trust me, I have plenty of ideas). But deep down, I know that what I need isn’t another thing to juggle—it’s healthier ways to cope so I don’t burn out or drop the ball on what I’ve already built. So I’d love some wisdom from this community: 💬 What helps you stay grounded and clear-headed when you’re surrounded by negativity you can’t control? I know if I can find better strategies, I’ll have the space to keep showing up, finish what I’ve started, and maybe then explore new projects from a healthier place.

Breathe work. Helps me reconnect with my body. I also like something called TRE, but it wouldn't be for everyone. Letting myself feel the hard. If I gently hold myself (mentally and emotionally), and give myself the space to feel the feelings, I can usually move past them faster. Naming the emotion out loud & giving it permission to exist often will help it not feel so big for me. Using the hard stuff to figure out who I am and what I really want. Getting curious why I feel the way I do about the circumstances. It helps me choose who I want to be even in the tough stuff. Some days it's easier to do than others. Some I just want to escape into binge watching a show or reading a book. But I do know that I grow the most by gently letting myself feel the stuff, as uncomfortable as it might be. I'm getting better at doing it consistently.
🌿 Perfection Does Not Exist.
Ever heard of Wabi-sabi? It's a Japanese concept I adore. It’s hard to translate in one neat sentence, but here’s the heart of it: ✨ Nothing is permanent. ✨ Nothing is perfect. ✨ Everything is incomplete. Instead of chasing flawless perfection, wabi-sabi invites us to see beauty in the cracks, the unfinished, the fleeting. It’s about embracing the process, the effort, the humanity in things—because that is where the real magic lives. Imagine if we let go of the pressure to be “perfect” moms, entrepreneurs, creators… and instead leaned into the messy, beautiful, unfinished masterpiece of our lives. That feels a lot lighter, doesn’t it? 🌸 *Raise your hand if you're a perfectionist: 🙋‍♀️ I consider myself a recovering perfectionist 😅

@Michelle McCartney My hubby too. It's actually been really cool to see how he's growing starting his own Skool community. He's putting a lot out there before it's "perfect." I'm loving it.

Definitely exercise. Still the one I struggle to fit in
Accountability post
This week I want to work on doing a short form video everyday, and commenting on at least 5 quality comments on social media posts in my niche. Anyone else have a goal for the week they'd like some accountability help on? @Aike Vermeulen @Stephanie Noble @Joy Pénard

Wednesday check in: ✅ I got it done really late, and went straight to bed. But I did get it done!

Thursday AND Friday check-in: ✅✅ Slipped in under the wire yesterday, and decided to get it done early today! I was a bit of a grouch yesterday, but showed up for myself anyway. Really proud of myself for that.
A little win today!
A member of my group just finished a pattern that she's promoting on social media, and I had a look at it. Suggested that she could add some info I had put together and she suggested that she direct people in the pattern to my Skool group for that info instead for a win/win. I love the regulars I'm getting in my community. They are just so lovely, and supportive and helpful. 🥰
