Do you want some wine to go with that
Good morning gentlemen. One thing about this journey that we are on, is that you never stop learning and growing. There are so many aspects of being a gentleman that if you take the time to look, listen, and think, you will find that so many things that we thought were old fashion, stuffy, and unpopular, that we thought we were to good for that, or that it was to expensive. One example for me was golf. I looked as it as an old man’s game, or one for the rich, or a complete waste of time. But in reality is it’s a challenging sport, it is a sport that can bring networking with other men and women, and it will definitely teach you humility and to be humble. Another aspect of this notion is I use to sit down at dinner and if I had a soda or tea with a meal I would drink about two glasses of it and not even think about it. And I would see people drink wine with their meals and I would be like “I can not afford to drink that for dinner”, thinking I would go broke drinking four or five glasses of wine ( mind you I’m thinking about how much I would drink and looking at how small wine glasses are,) so this was my mindset on this. One night me and my beautiful bride went out to dinner and we were given complimentary wine with our dinner from one of the restaurant we frequent (because you know I was not about to pay for that). So as they brought out our meal and the wine and I thinking I am going to have to order a glass of tea or something to go with this or I’m going to have cotten mouth by the end of the meal. And to my surprise at the end of the meal I still had like a half glass of wine and the food tastes amazing! I could not believe it! How could the same food that I have ordered numerous times ( because I’m a creature of habit) taste so much better this time? So me being Sherlock Holmes began to analyze this phenomenal experience, the only difference was the glass of wine. Could it make that much of a difference? And it did! I was like, I didn’t even drink that much of it while I was eating.

@Anthony Buntyn When you get a chance and if you develop the desire to, getting into making your own homemade wine can be very rewarding and enjoyable, especially if you’re someone who enjoys cooking and experimenting. You have control over what you put in ingredient wise and even trying the different yeasts can bring about different flavor profiles and ABV, even when using the same ingredients. Only thing that stinks is the waiting for it to ferment and to age enough (patience is not my strong suit). But I understand where you’re coming from. I’ve recently developed my liking for classical style clothing, all I listen to now is music from the 30’s to 60’s, and for only a couple of years now, I enjoy drinking bourbon for the taste and notes, and pairing it occasionally with a good cigar.
Looking to refine my personal style and would love your input...
Working on improving my style. Right now I’ve got fitted shirts, dark jeans, clean sneakers, and a blazer. What’s one item you think every man should add early to his wardrobe?

“Brian didn’t even know he was Irish until he met me” Tim Wantland
Tim was partially right. Although my choir director buddy Allen Bean from Good Shepard Episcopal Church and I went to O’ Tooles and sat frequently at the booth with the McGuire family crest on our weekly sojourn to the pub in Richmond, VA after choir practice- it wasn’t until about 2004 when I joined the band with Timmy that I fully embraced my heritage. Tim would have loved the bells and smells mass today as we celebrated his life. One of our two girl singers in our band was the Cantor and not only did we do St. Patrick’s Breastplate as the processional, but she did a solo Celtic blessing in Gaelic and another in Latin. Provincially the article I sent to the paper weeks ago was printed today as was the re opening of our favorite pub ( the two owners -one in a fireman’s kilt - and my favorite bartender are in the pics shown). I couldn’t have ever anticipated a better celebration of my very best friends life! A long tearful celebratory day. Looking very dapper! I want to get some nice flannel trousers myself eventually.
Should I just start posting skincare/Gym routine videos?
Hey everyone, I’d really appreciate some honest advice. I’m thinking about starting to make short videos/reels of my own skincare/gym routines for my small brand? It’s something I genuinely love and care about, and I know video would probably grow a bigger following than just posting photos or text. The only thing holding me back is insecurity. I’m a 23-year-old guy, and putting myself on camera feels uncomfortable even though I enjoy skincare and wellness a lot. Part of me feels like I should just do it anyway and let the confidence build over time. Another part of me keeps overthinking how it’ll be received. For anyone who’s been in a similar place or started before they felt “ready” — did you just go for it? Was it worth it? Any advice would mean a lot

Go for it. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Do your thing, know mentally there are still gonna be trolls and haters out there that will say crap, but also know there will be people out there who will support you and like what you have to say. If you do end up doing it and things go well, just please don’t jump on the typical influencer bandwagon that’s out for views and sales instead of content with depth and value.
