🌿 Somatic Check-In: Where is your body asking you to pause?
Lately, I’ve been paying closer attention to my body instead of pushing past it. After a major life transition, my left knee started speaking up. Not loudly. Not dramatically. Just enough to get my attention. Instead of trying to fix it right away, I got curious. It reminded me that our bodies often hold the wisdom of transition.Knees, especially, live in that in-between space; the moment between standing still and stepping forward. They carry trust, flexibility, and support. So I want to invite you into a gentle check-in today. Take a breath. Scan your body without judgment. šŸ‘‰šŸ½ Where do you notice sensation, tightness, or fatigue right now? You might reflect on: - Feet – support, grounding, stability - Knees – transition, trust, readiness to move forward - Hips – carrying, holding, emotional load - Shoulders – responsibility, pressure, expectations - Jaw or neck – holding back words or tension There’s no right answer. Nothing to fix. Just notice. If you feel comfortable, share in the comments: - the body part that stood out - one word that describes what it feels like This is the kind of listening we’re leaning into more here as we build new resources and community conversations. Slow. Honest. Supportive. Because pain isn’t always a problem.Sometimes it’s a pause button with purpose. šŸ’›
✨ 2026 is about living well
Hey friend šŸ’— It’s a new dawn. A new day. A new year. This season isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing what matters. I’m choosing completion, rest, financial integrity, deeper work, and actually enjoying my life. Less urgency. More alignment. Inside this community, my intention this year is simple: clarity, perspective, support, and real conversations for women navigating their next chapter. No hustle culture. No pressure to perform. Just space to grow, reflect, and move forward in a way that feels true. If you’re here, you’re in the right place. ✨ Drop a 🌱 if you’re claiming a softer, truer year with me.

@Shelley Shockley that’s a wonderful declaration.
Grief lives in the body.
For me, it lives in my connective tissue. My mom died on December 7. And either that same day or the day after, my left knee started bothering me. I’ve been ā€œpushing throughā€ the pain to take care of everything that needed to be done. I told myself that because I was moving my body, I was fine. I’ve been up and down stairs. Packing. Sorting. Boxing things up. Letting go of so much. But when I finally slowed down and did yoga… baby, I screamed. Everything hurt. Tight. Inflamed. Loud. That was my body saying, enough. I made a promise to myself right then and there: I will never neglect myself like this again. If you’re not on my email list, you might want to join. I’ll be sharing more about what I’m learning, how I’m moving through this season, and the insights that are helping me heal, slowly and honestly.

What I’ve been holding quietly
My mom passed away on Sunday. Watching her decline and transition was one of the hardest experiences of my life, and it taught me how essential it is to prepare for the care of our parents. If you haven’t already, please get your paperwork in place: Power of Attorney, advance directives, life and burial policies. It makes a world of difference. I’ll be taking time to grieve, rest, and honor my mother’s life and the quiet love she showed me.

Holidays the Holistic Way
Hey ladies! How are y’all doing? The holidays are upon us. How are you going to spend it in a holistic way? Here’s some suggestions for you: - Make a budget on how much you’re going spend on food, beverages, presents, and activities. - Make time for rest every single day. Even if it’s only for 5 to 10 minutes. - Schedule time with family and friends as much as you can. - Pause every day and reflect on the goodness of this year. Even if it’s been challenging, find something to be grateful for. Add some of your own to the group.
