My mom passed away on Sunday. Watching her decline and transition was one of the hardest experiences of my life, and it taught me how essential it is to prepare for the care of our parents. If you haven’t already, please get your paperwork in place: Power of Attorney, advance directives, life and burial policies. It makes a world of difference. I’ll be taking time to grieve, rest, and honor my mother’s life and the quiet love she showed me.
