So I just launched a new artist project called "tethermind," and the debut single, "Noize," is officially live on all platforms. 🪐 What makes this one extra cool is that it's a collaboration between four of us here at mastering.com. I composed, arranged, and wrote the lyrics; @Lucy Warr nailed the emotion and vibe with her vocals; Chris Georgiou took the vocal production to a top-tier level; and @Damian Baca spiced it all up with some dope sound design and did the final mix/master. So I kind of made it, got a few hours squeezed in last night and a few tweaks this morning (including Dane's new bass stem). Even though I always wish I had more time to get into details, it's great practice to try and get something done so quickly. I already hear a few high level stuff I probably should've fixed - like a bit more control on low end and probably cut some mids from verse vocals ... would also like a little more 'lift' into the choruses - but alas, time ... Overall I'm reasonably happy with it - from a hobbyist perspective at least :) What do you guys think?

In addition to his mixing work, Joseph has served as a mastering engineer on records with critically acclaimed musicians and engineers, including Grammy Award-winning engineer Mack Major (PJ Morton, Tank and the Bangas, The Revivalists), platinum-selling engineer Mike Napolitano, platinum-selling musician and producer Jimbo Mathis of Squirrel Nut Zippers, and legendary blues harmonica player Charlie Musselwhite, known for collaborations with Tom Waits, Muddy Waters, and Eddie Vedder, as well as multiple Grammy nominations and induction into the Blues Hall of Fame.
