Quick first impressions: ATH Legend Noir & Dunhill Icon
These are some impressions from my first wear of these fragrances. Shoutout to our guy @Nick Clemente for making them available for me! Icon: Old school, barber-shoppy fragrance that opens fruity, floral, & herbal with light woods in the base. Projection is moderate for the first hour, then solid mild sillage afterwards to about the 5 hr mark. At 2 hrs, a nice lavendar note replaces the fruit as the lead note, but is still well blended with everything else. Decent smelling, not very long lasting, and is on the mature side. Would be an inexpensive work fragrance for a mature guy. Legend Noir: I like, but don't love ATH's Legend or Legend+. They're OK for me, but not among my ATH favorites. Legend Noir however, was love at first sniff, and the affection follows it all the way down to a skin scent. It's a beautiful aromatic, spicy, woody, light floral with a touch of smoke. Projection is moderate through 90 min, then steady mild with a nice scent trail. Amber & vanilla anchor the base, and help provide a consistent medium tone. After 3 hours it has become a light, woody-vanilla that's not too sweet, while maintaining mild sillage to 6 hrs. before becoming a skin scent. Very versatile, this is a good signature scent, office fragrance or take it at any social type of gathering. It might not work in a hot, humid environment, but some warmth definitely adds to the performance.

Morpheus by ATH
Quick post today in the ongoing ATH marathon. I’ve talked about this frag a lot. It’s what TF Oud Wood will never be. If you like the scent profile of TF OW then this is your frag. And cheaper. At least it was when bought it. TF performance sucks. Morpheus takes 3-4 sprays and lasts three times as long. I remember back in the day I had Oud Wood when it first came out and it was a 6-10 spray necessity. Where is the value in that? As my usual statements, Quality over Quantity. Be well brothers on a beautiful 70deg day in southern WI.

I've only tried this once, and I need to spend more time with it.
Parfums Gift Card
Finally canceled an order from the Parfums after waiting nearly 8 weeks. They gave me a $15 gift card for “my trouble”. I won’t be ordering from this site ever again, but if anyone is able to use it, have at it. See the code in the attached pic. Just be warned, you will literally be waiting months for your fragrance to arrive.

@Mark DiCiero My concern with them is that they never ship the item, and it's been too long to dispute the credit card charge. It puts a different light on it if they are reliable enough to ship after they do the group buy.

@Lon Chaneyfield OK gotcha. Thanks for the info. I found one of your posts where you explain their process, and here's the link for everyone's edification. I do have an issue with their "processing time" statement though. If you, David and Blake didn't vouch for them, I'd think they were crooked! https://www.skool.com/bos/the-parfums-and-other-similiar-companies?p=a2a08801
SOTD Rayhaan Aquatica
A beautiful summer scent that opens up with a nice dose of citrus lime, some coconut, bergamot, and mandarin before settling on tonka bean, musk, rum, and one of my recent favorites patchouli. This is one fragrance and I’m gonna be wearing a lot during the warmer months. Here on Long Island it’s gotten near 60° and I’m pushing and praying for that warm weather to come!

I just wore a decant of this, and I want to see what it's like in the heat!
AMBRE LEVANT SOTD !!! Some quick thoughts. Worn twice!!!
Spent some time with Ambré Levant and this one leans very much into that warm, resinous amber profile with a slightly modern polish. Right off the top, you get a smooth, slightly sweet amber that feels rich but not overly dense or suffocating. To me, it’s more on the refined and airy amber side rather than dark, smoky, or heavy. There’s a soft glow to it—almost like sunlit amber instead of deep, churchy resin. It has a subtle sweetness, but it never goes gourmand or sticky. Everything feels well blended and easy to wear. As it dries down, it gets creamier and a bit more skin-like. The projection settles fairly quickly into a personal bubble, but it leaves a nice scent trail early on. It’s one of those fragrances that smells high quality without screaming for attention. Performance (on my skin): • Projection: Moderate for the first hour or two, then closer to the skin • Sillage: Soft but noticeable early • Longevity: Solid 6–8 hours, becomes a skin scent in the later stages When I’d wear it: • Best in cooler weather or evenings, but honestly versatile enough for Arizona “ 65-90 degree weather” • Works great dressed up or even casually if you want something smooth and put together Overall: This isn’t a loud or overly complex amber—it’s more about wearability and refinement. If you’re expecting something dark, spicy, or beast mode, this might feel a bit tame. But if you want a clean, elegant amber that sits nicely on the skin and smells classy without trying too hard, this is a really solid pickup.

I started my fragrance journey in Dec 2024, and I am still in discovery mode! My focus is on sampling the many houses that are available.
