Sorry, I failed #NoBuySep brothers, that deal was too good to pass up…
I did successfully force myself to not buy 2 fragrances though. From Jomashop if you’re curious.

SOTD: Autum Vibes by Maison Margeila #NoBuySept 18/09/2025
Next up from the Replica line is Autum Vibes, another edt designed to capture the feeling of an autumn walk through a forest, with the crunch of leaves underfoot & the earthy, woody scent of the season. Its suprisingly quite nice, I'm enjoying it, as we come into the Autum season. Autumn Vibes is a woody, spicy, and earthy fragrance. Released in 2021, the perfummer behind this one is Fanny Bal. Whom also did When the Rain stops from the Replica range. She is also responsable for Bad Boy Le Parfum & Lattafa's Asad Zanzibar. The Crunch of Leaves: Or to everyone else the Opening, starts of with a burst of fresh colorful spices. Notes of pink pepper, coriander & cardamom are used to create a sensation of crisp, vibrant air & the sharp crunch of autumn leaves underfoot. At its heart or Earthy Undergrowth as they describe it, we see the initial spices mellow, the fragrance transitions to its core. This is where the scent truly earns its name. The unique note of carrot seeds lends an earthy reminiscent of rich soil. Nutmeg adds a warm, spicy layer, while olibanum (frankincense) provides a subtle, resinous depth. At the base were the Ancient Trees reside, the dry down is were the comforting scent of the woods emerge. Cedarwood, a prominent & dry woody note, evokes the scent of ancient trees. A moss accord contributes a damp, green & slightly musty quality that perfectly represents moss-covered logs & stones. Finally, fir balsam adds a touch of coniferous resin & a lasting woody intensity. The result is a smooth, woody, mossy trail that lingers like the memory of a tranquil hike. Its a really good blend that wears super well on skin, i get a solid 5 hours, projections wise this is more of an intimate fragrance the give off arms length for an hour then its a skin scent but I still like this. It has a cozy vibe that Is enjoyable. My Rating: 6/10 Scent: 2 Longevity: 2 Sillage: 1 Y/N: 1

How wearable is this fragrance out of curiosity? I’ve seen deals on this scent several times in the past but always pass it up because I don’t know how easy it is to wear. I do love a deep masculine fragrance that has a lot of depth to it. Is this more of a statement fragrance? Or a signature scent?
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, picked these up yesterday!
Went to Nordstrom and Bloomingdales; brought expensive scents for the first time at retail price (mostly). Nordstrom had a 15% off sale so I got Layton for $260. I’ve always been cheaper and brought scents from discounters but decided to go for the full retail experience route this time. And it was nice. Got quite a bit of free samples. Smelled so many scents before picking out what I wanted. And overall had a great time. Absolutely love both of these scents too. Also, this is the most I’ve ever spent on individual fragrances before.

First fragrance
So, I've enjoyed fragrances since I was a boy, but I didn't start collecting them until almost 2 years ago. At any given time since around 13, I've always had 1-3 different bottles though. My very first bottle was CK obsession. That was followed by Fahrenheit and ( I'm almost ashamed to say it after recently smelling it again ) JOOP! As the years went by, they were followed by ADG, Boss, and JPG Le Male ( before there were flankers ). I'd like to know what your first fragrance was ( by choice, not Mom ) What was your first fragrance?

Pretty sure my first scent was Calvin Klein Eternity for men; picked it up from a Burlington for cheap and thought it was a quality designer fragrance. Looking back it’s funny because CK is a low end designer when it comes to fragrances. I’m 25, wasn’t around when CK fragrances were a bigger deal. Still good bang for buck if you find a full bottle for $30 or under.
