A Finished Object!
I Italian bound off my left sleeve this afternoon, and managed a quick hanger photo before the light faded. I'll also get some shots wearing it, hopefully tomorrow if the weather holds fair. I'm going to wear it out to my son's birthday meal tonight. I ran out of one cC yarn, the dark colour-change, after splitting the remainder in 2 for the sleeves. Just one round short for each, but my dark mauve was so close in tone that you really can't see the difference. I have small leftovers of most yarns, I may try for a snood/hood/scarflette if I can work one out. This has been such a joyful experience for me, and kept me busy and engaged at a normally depressing time of year. Now the spring flowers are all out and the weather is warming up a bit; in mostly cotton, this is a great transitional knit to take me through to summer. I'm already planning my next project, a summer tee shirt for a special band gig in Pompeii for July. Altering this pattern for style and fit has given me courage to merge 2 patterns and give it my own spin. I'm looking forward to the fashion show next month. See you all there!

Zoe, it has been a joy being on this adventure with you. I’ve enjoyed watching your sweater progress. It truly turned out beautiful. You’ll turn eyes wearing this at your son’s meal and in the future. Thanks for making this experience so nice by giving a part of you. I always appreciated hearing from you and seeing thumbs up along the way. I do have one more question about your use of color changes in the clue 2 section where it changes from pinks to purples and mauves. Is that a gradient yarn or intentional choice by you? Could you explain more about that and tell any pros/cons you learned ie managing yarn/ tie in ends/ repeats / 2-3 colors at a time?
Clue 4 finally done 😄

That’s a good idea to check the length. I started the sleeve and have a long way to go

Thank you. I originally had a teal yarn to use but ripped it back. Colorway has constantly been a challenge for me because I typically choose “coordinating” colors and get muddy patterns. For this I want high contrast, which I achieved. 😉. This was the teal color photo. I had completed the sections but didn’t love it.
Clue 6 is here, and it's all about the sleeves.
Before we get into it, I want to take a moment to appreciate what's been happening in this community. Over 450 projects shared, and more than 100 finished Clue 5s already in my feed. That is quite unbelievable! 🫣 What I've been particularly enjoying is seeing the creative spins you're putting on this sweater. The body finishes, the hems, the rearranged chart motifs! They make each sweater its own thing and I absolutely love that! Keep sharing them.❤️ Now, if you chose the pullover option, Clue 6 is your last clue😭. But that also means, there is no rush from here, work at your own pace and enjoy the sleeves. If you chose the cardigan option, you will undoubtedly notice what's still missing and that will be coming in Clue 7, so the mystery isn't quite over for you yet.🤩 New tutorials for this clue are also waiting for you in the Rujuu course under the Classroom tab. If you already have the pattern, check your inbox for the update notification or refresh your Ravelry library to download the Clue 6 file. If you haven’t joined yet, you can get the pattern here. ❗One more thing: mark your calendars for the Virtual Fashion Show on April 19th at 8pm London, UK time. Everyone who has participated in the knit along is welcome to join us on Zoom, which will also be streamed on YouTube. Finished sweater or not, I would love to see you there. More details to follow.

Making headway!
Ripping back to “ Separate sleeves and body” 😱🫣
My rib band is ending with 2 knit, 1 purl.. have 211 stitches on my needle.. I was thinking ok..1 stitch wrong..no problem BUT then I was going to do the sleeves..and here I found my mistake 🫣 58 stitches on the left and 52 stitches on the right..😱 omg. So I have to go back .. but it will work after that. There is so many beautiful sweater/cardigan in here..AND I will finish the beautiful design 💙 Edit: picture 2 and I am ready to start over agen 💪🏻

@Lone Bjørnsen I ripped mine back as well and i am just starting on the sleeves. I look forward to seeing the fashion show and hope to share mine at that time. I like your colors very much and look forward to seeing your progress.
I have finished my Rujuu!!!
I have finished my Rujuu!!! I knitted both sleeves at the same time to keep the colour as similar as possible in both sleeves. To make the sleeves long enough for me, I needed to add double the length to the cuffs otherwise the sleeves would have been a little bit too short. I could have added a section of repeat of clue 1 to lengthen them but I felt the simple cuffs were a better finish. I took about 6 weeks to finish knitting this jersey and I enjoyed every stitch. I have learned a lot about colour work. Selecting the colours (marling), keeping the correct tension in the different sections and pattern repeat to create a balanced rhythm throughout the jersey. At some point in the future, when I feel braver, I will attempt to knit the cardigan, although I am not sure I will ever feel brave enough to cut the front of the finished jersey!!

@Viky Petermann I feel the same way, although I’ve played in colorway patterns prior. I like having the community and support as well as supporting others. The videos from Zanete have been amazing!
