This is perfect timing, as I'm wanting to knit a summer tee-shirt for a prog rock gig in July, Marillion at Pompeii Colisseum. It's at the sample and design stage. I'm using two patterns, plus my own intarsia design. It will be in cotton, as that's what I've got most of in bits and pieces in my stash. It will be top down in the round with some colour shading. I need to find my graph paper to map out the whole tee-shirt, front and back. Then it should be ready to start.

Absolutely Fabulous ladies!
Rujuu is Done!
I finally took finished object photos of my Rujuu cardigan. I can’t say enough good things about this project. I used 750g of very old stash and made a beautiful sweater I’ll wear for a very long time to come. I never in a million years would have put these together on my own. I’m so thankful to Zanete for encouraging us to use stash in a creative way.

I love these use of colour here, the red and pink are great against the light and dark.
Mock seam
Curious is the mock seam for design only or is there a purpose? I like to know the ins and outs of how things work.

Coming upon the purl stitch reminded me that I had to work out which part of the unfinished pattern I had to knit next, it was a good prompt.
A Finished Object!
I Italian bound off my left sleeve this afternoon, and managed a quick hanger photo before the light faded. I'll also get some shots wearing it, hopefully tomorrow if the weather holds fair. I'm going to wear it out to my son's birthday meal tonight. I ran out of one cC yarn, the dark colour-change, after splitting the remainder in 2 for the sleeves. Just one round short for each, but my dark mauve was so close in tone that you really can't see the difference. I have small leftovers of most yarns, I may try for a snood/hood/scarflette if I can work one out. This has been such a joyful experience for me, and kept me busy and engaged at a normally depressing time of year. Now the spring flowers are all out and the weather is warming up a bit; in mostly cotton, this is a great transitional knit to take me through to summer. I'm already planning my next project, a summer tee shirt for a special band gig in Pompeii for July. Altering this pattern for style and fit has given me courage to merge 2 patterns and give it my own spin. I'm looking forward to the fashion show next month. See you all there!
