My ideal member is an overwhelmed homeschool parent - usually a mom. She's responsible for managing the home (and all that comes with it) as well as teaching sometimes multiple children and being responsible for their education. Know anyone like that? Send them my way!!
Hosting my first Meet & Greet call. Building myself up to show up even if I'm the only one there! How did your first live call go for your group? Give me some pointers/advice - thanks!!
@Faith Adebayo It's a ghost town over there - I will definitely do some hyping in the days leading up. My plan is to stay in the call the whole time. I also thought I could do some talking - tell my story - and then at least I could record it and post it.
What are your questions about Facebook and Instagram Ads? Come hang out in GenX Ads Community March 31 and I'll answer them! I'll take questions that are posted in the community first, to be fair. (and so I can prepare to answer in case I don't know the answer! )
I'm just getting started with FB ads - I find the UI so so frustrating! Sometimes I can't even tell what I'm doing. So many levels - campaigns, ads, etc.
What is a myth you like to dispel about your subject matter or community topic? I want to talk about the myth that budgeting is restrictive! This is suuuchhhh a common thing I hear! When, in fact, when you know EXACTLY where you money is going, you have more clarity and confidence than you ever thought possible!! And you know what? It is 1000% worth it! 💜
You make a good point! I think people say that alot of times when they make changes to anything they've been doing. Diet - restrictive Budget - restrictive Stop smoking - restrictive But, in the end, its more freeing
@Lindsey Ciarrocca I would say, for me at least, yes. If I've been having a latte every day and now all of the sudden I can't - even though I know it's going to save me money - I feel denied or restricted. It takes awhile for the 'good' to overshadow the negative sometimes.
Socialization is an often discussed topic when it comes to homeschooling. But one thing that people don't consider is that putting children in groups of 30 with other kids all the same age is not really socializing them. It's the only place in society where that happens. Thoughts?
@Simon Nelson that sounds amazing! I bet the teachers were busy - but they probably loved it! As for me - I have ten kids so lots of friends of all ages built in for them.
@Mona Weathers I love this! Out of 10, mine definitely have different personalities and social skills. Some are more social than others - once at a company picnic our - then four year old - got his food and then sat down with complete strangers and had a whole conversation. He's the most social out of all of them still to this day ❤️
