Good news
I can open all the videos on the community with my phone today which seldom happens before. Can’t wait to share the video of my son practicing the flute. This song is about a romantic Chinese folk legend which took place at a romantic tourist attraction in the city of Hangzhou. Almost all Chinese people know it, especially those born in the 1980s and 1970s. Although my son didn’t play it perfectly, I’m totally proud of him ,because he has only played the instrument for 3 weeks

Candied Hawthorn Skewers
I just had a skewer of tanghulu(Candied Hawthorn Skewer), and I really want to share this snack with you. It’s super popular in China, easy to make, and it’s actually tied to my English assignment—I’m planning to introduce it as a traditional holiday treat, and I hope you’ll love it! The ingredients are simple: just hawthorns, wooden sticks, sugar, and a pan. First, wash the hawthorns thoroughly and let them air-dry completely—this keeps the sugar coating from sliding off later. Then thread the hawthorns onto the sticks to make skewers. Next, melt sugar in a pan over heat until it turns into a glossy syrup. After that, coat each hawthorn skewer with the syrup, sprinkle some sesame seeds on top if you’d like, and dip the skewers briefly into ice water to set the coating. That’s it! If hawthorns aren’t your thing, you can swap them out for other fruits—even some veggies work, like bananas, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, or grapes. You can experiment with almost any ingredient, and it always tastes great. Tanghulu isn’t just a snack, it’s a sweet, crunchy taste of holiday joy that’s loved by kids and adults alike in China. 【《你好,中国 Hello China》百集中英双语国粹文化第63集:糖葫芦Tanghulu-哔哩哔哩】 https://b23.tv/gk4xqCU

@Evelyne Vincent Wow, I can totally picture those cozy, cute, super loving moments! That’s so warm! ❤️When you said wooden sticks—you mean like chopsticks, right? Those are what I use for every single meal!! And I’m surprised she was that little when she started using them!!

@Jiyeon Song The new gourmet restaurant sounds too expensive. They robbed him of everything he had. I love the sound of rain at night.
