Yesterday I went to the movie. I watched two movies in a row.For the first showing, there were five people in the screening hall, and for the second one,I had the whole theater to myself. I can't knock this, for me this is a feast of movie--'The Odyssey' and'The Shawshank Redemption'. The Odyssey is a story about a man who has experienced The Troy War,from his view his return is not a hero's triumphant return-it's about trauma, guilt and redemption. The Shawshank Redemption tells a story of enduring hope, unwavering friendship, and the quiet triumph of the human spirit over institutional cruelty---Instead of my boring cliches,I want to use only one word to summary each film,HOMECOMING is for 'The Odyssey,'and HOPE is for 'The Shawshank Redemption'. Now I will share some remarkable lines from the movies: The Odyssey: 1-The clearest view of men is from below. 2-Don't look for gods in men;you'll always be disappointed. 3-It told you what you most want is what you most can't have. And what you most can't have is what you already had and lost. 4-You can't win with a perfect defense. 5-Coming home was never meant to be easy.If it were easy, home wouldn't be worth having. 6-When you have nothing left to lose, you see who stands beside you. 7-After years of war,no one could stand between my men and home. Not even me. 8-The power of the sacrifice is in the cost of the person making it. 9-Love's not a sacrifice. 10-What if we ran? There's a world beyond these walls. 11-You must give up yourself to the storm, give yourself to Poseidon...Give up control and live. 12-Zeus's law tells us to treat strangers as we'd be treated because they might be gods in disguise. 13-Next time think twice before you offer your life for an animal. The Shawshank Redemption: 1-Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. 2-Fear can hold you prisoner.Hope can set you free. 3-Some birds aren't meant to be caged.Their feathers are just too bright. 4-That there's a small place inside of us they can never lock away, and that place is called hope.
