Bulova Friday #4 - Bringing out the Racer Chrono
To close out the Bulova Series, it has to be the Racer Chronograph. Ever since it released a year go June, I've been stalk-following this beauty on as many different sell sites as I could find. I finally found two of them on Chrono24 which posted nearly a week apart early this year (April). One was looking to flip it for better than he bought it (tough to do with newly minted Bulovas or any watch unless it's got an incredible story); the other guy said "it didn't go with his other Chronographs(!)" [What?!] He didn't like my offer, but agreed to stay in touch. End of October, Chrono24 messages me letting me know I have a message from the Seller, "Am I still interested?" A: "Nah. I've moved on." 😉 Seller: "I want to sell this so I can get a different watch." Long story short...this is the closer on my Bulova series and my new driving watch. Check out the leather strap. I think I need driving gloves now. It's got the multi-dials, OS21 movement, sapphire crystal Other stuff: Built on Bulova’s vibrant history in motorsport – from soap box derbies to the upper echelons of auto racing – the new men’s Racer chronograph watch is fine-tuned and designed for performance. The contoured silver-tone stainless steel case features a unique design evoking the aerodynamic curves of the world’s fastest automobiles. A two-tone orange and black tachymeter ring offers further functionality, while pronounced pushers provide a distinctively automotive aesthetic. The black 5-hand chronograph dial features an orange and white racing pattern chapter ring, with a date display at 6 o’clock and black subdials displaying the chronograph minutes and the 24-hour time. A bold orange chronograph seconds hand ensures optimal legibility no matter the speed. The dial is appointed with applied silver-tone markers and matching beveled hands, all filled with a super-luminous material for low-light visibility. The watch is paired with a perforated brown leather racing-style strap with a pin buckle closure. Whether gripping the wheel around the bend at the track or on your daily commute, the Bulova men’s Racer chronograph is a stylish expression of racing history and a passion for speed.

Ultra Nice!
Is this strap a hit or miss.
I bought this NATO with my black and gold Casio Marlin in mind, I don't know what I was thinking because it doesn't work. Trying it out on this Pagani, let me know if you think it works or not. I can't make up my mind.

Beginning Bulova week - Bulova Marine Star
The very 1st Bulova I ever owned. I acquired it following the merger of the B/D I was with in 2007 and my promotion to head the Change Management team. The 1st two lousy pics are mine. I added a professional pic from Google Here's the Specs: Bulova Men's Marine Star Diamond Chronograph Watch, model number 96D16. It is part of Bulova's Marine Star collection, which features timepieces inspired by maritime activities. Key features of this watch include: - Movement: Quartz movement with a six-hand chronograph function and calendar feature.  - Case and Bracelet: Constructed from stainless steel with a screw-back case and a fold-over buckle closure with a safety bar. The case diameter is approximately 42 mm.  - Dial: Features a black dial with genuine diamond hour markers and luminous hands.  - Water Resistance: Water-resistant to 100 meters (330 feet), suitable for swimming and snorkeling.  - Crystal: Utilizes a durable mineral crystal.
