January 2nd is the day that doors open for registration to the How to Teach a High-Value, High-Converting Masterclass, which will be offered live on January 6th. The workshop is open to everyone (cost is $27), but if you are a Premium member who is planning on teaching a masterclass on the CLASSIFIEDS calendar, then this workshop is a prerequisite for doing that. I only offer this once every two months, but it will be recorded, and you will have access to the recording indefinitely. So, if you think you might be interested in offering a masterclass any time in the next 3 months, you will want to make sure you register for this session. If you can make it live - even better! Now, I know some of you are thinking: but I already know how to give a masterclass, I don't need to take this session. While that may be true, the purpose of the session is to let everyone know what I think it means to provide value so that our calendar is full of masterclasses that people are clamoring to take. You don't have to follow my format, but you do need to provide value. Is this gatekeeping? Yes. Is it for a good reason? Also, yes. If the calendar is full of fluffy, pitch fests that bring no value, then it's going to be a wasteland that no one looks at, and that hurts us all. My vision for the calendar is that it is a place full of very valuable learning opportunities and experiences that people are checking regularly and attending widely. You might wonder why there is two of us owners of the LIFEsurfers. Well, let me take you back 27 years, to a warm September morning, into the city beautiful city of Heidelberg in Germany... This was the day, we met - we, that is Chris Brandwein and Sandra Fehsenfeld, two laboratory research technicians at the German Cancer Research Centre. And we've been friends ever since, even after Chris switching to psychological research in 2002 and Sandra moving to Winnipeg, Canada in 2011 to pursue a PhD in Marine Biology. Fast forward to April 2025, when we were introduced to Skool by a common friend, and Chris had the idea to open a Skool to introduce analytical, sciency-thinking and/or -interested minds to a world of intuition and magic. And so, she asked Sandra who was equally excited to embark on that mission and the LIFEsurfers were born! We might not get the revenue (yet) we wished for when we started, but it still feels nourishing and valuable as it is. It's a snow day today. Complete blizzard conditions. No school. Kids home. This could be a "bad" day: feeling resentful to not get work done because of the constant "mmmoooooooommmm?"s and preparation of snacks. The plan to exercise out of the window. Not even peace and quiet for a nice cup of coffee. OR this could be a day for reconnecting with the little ones, being present and still getting work done, a day with fun and laughter and lots of hugs. This is what the LIFEsurfers are here for. As we are nearing the holidays, many of us are getting more and more caught up in everything that still needs to be done, we start reflecting over how this past year worked out, and how we want the next year to pan out. Our mind is spinning and our thoughts take over. Because this is what we do: We try to THINK our way out of our challenges. Come up with a plan. Rationalize what we SHOULD and SHOULD NOT do. But what this oftentimes makes us feel like is disconnected. ❌Disconnected from ourselves, ❌disconnected from our loved ones when we snap at them, ❌disconnected from our lives when we see what we set out to do and didn’t get it done. The thing is… our nervous system was never designed to be “on” all the time. No amount of thinking, planning, or optimizing can override that biology. Not everything in life is meant to be solved like a math equation. Some things are meant to be felt, regulated, and integrated. I want you to know that “unplugging” isn’t about abandoning your mind.
