Spiritual Scientists?!
Does this even exist, you might ask? Aren't scientists by default materialistic? Well, here is proof that they DO exist: Both, Chris and I (Sandra writing this post) from the LIFEsurfers have been scientists for over 25 years โ€“ first in molecular cancer research, then neuroscience (Chris) and marine biology (Sandra). The fact that spirituality independently became a huge component in our lives (after our paths had divided onto different continents) goes to show that โ€“ if you are into the sciency bits, itโ€™s hard to ignore that there is more to it. We strongly believe that both aspects are not exclusive, but feed into and off of each other โ€“ and hence, we opened our community, the LIFEsurfers, to break down the science to be easily accessible for everyone, while at the same time connecting it to the magic of creating an intuitively and divinely led life. Feeling Scattered? Chasing Your Tail?
Today's astrological energies might have us feeling scattered and unsettled, or feeling like we're chasing our tails and getting nowhere fast. If you're INFP, it makes perfect sense to feel that way right now. When the cosmic currents seem chaotic, the INFP's rich inner world can sometimes feel like it's being tossed around by a storm. Here are three gentle ways to anchor ourselves, tailored to our nature: 1. Embrace "Micro-Progress" Over Grand Momentum ๐Ÿšถ Instead of trying to force a big breakthrough, focus on tiny, tangible actions that align with your values. Progress isn't always a straight line; sometimes it's just tending to your garden. โญ๏ธ Step:ย Choose one small, meaningful task you can finish in 15 minutes. Do it slowly and intentionally. โญ๏ธ Journaling Question:ย What is one small thing I did today that felt true to who I am, regardless of the outcome? โญ๏ธ Affirmation:ย "My worth is not measured by my productivity, but by my presence." โญ๏ธ Encouragement:ย You don't need to conquer the mountain today. Just planting one seed is enough. The universe is still working on your behalf, even when you can't see the movement. 2. Ground Through Sensory Anchors โš“๏ธ When your mind is racing with "what ifs" and future anxieties, bring your awareness sharply into your physical body and the immediate environment. INFPs often live in the abstract; grounding pulls you back to the safety of the "now." โญ๏ธ Step:ย Engage one sense fully for a couple of minutes (e.g., hold a warm cup of tea and feel the heat, listen to rain, or touch a textured fabric). โญ๏ธ Journaling Question:ย What is one sensation I am experiencing right now that feels safe and real? โญ๏ธ Affirmation:ย "I am here, I am grounded, and I am safe in this moment." โญ๏ธ Encouragement:ย The chaos is out there, but the quiet is in here. Your sensitivity allows you to feel the beauty of the present moment even amidst the noise. 3. Reframe "Stagnation" as "Incubation" ๐Ÿฅš๐Ÿฃ INFPs often need long periods of internal processing before external action. What looks like "getting nowhere" is often your soul digesting experiences and weaving new meaning. Trust the invisible work.

@Jan Brightwood while I'm not super familiar with those personality system, I (Sandra as one of the LIFEsurfers ๐Ÿ˜‰) find these 3 strategies so important overall. Mindset, mindfulness and nervous system regulation are powerful, especially in combination!!
Why your The Skool Classifieds posts get ignored (and it's not the writing)
Most people post in The Skool Classifieds, check back a few hours later, see minimal engagement, and conclude the community doesn't work. The community isn't the problem. The Skool Classifieds feed is a reciprocal ecosystem. When you post and leave without engaging with anyone else's content, you're essentially walking into a room, announcing something, and walking straight back out. The people in the room notice. They're just not going to chase you down the corridor. The fix is simple. Before you post anything, spend five minutes in the feed. Find two or three posts you can add something genuinely useful to. Not a thumbs-up, not "great post" an actual observation or a question. Then publish yours. The people whose posts you just engaged with are now far more likely to see yours and respond. It's the same mechanic as any room full of professionals. The person who listens first tends to get heard. How aware are you of (and do you honour) your physiological and cognitive cycles?
And no, we're not just referring to the โ€œobviousโ€ hormonal cycle. But also to... โœจ homeostatic cycles (and allostatic load/capacity), โœจ decision making cycles, โœจ hustle vs. flow cycles, โœจ sympathetic vs parasympathetic cycling (to name only a few). These are fundamental not only for your daily performance, but all different โ€œseasonsโ€ in your life. Optimizing your โ€œbrainโ€ cycles, for example, and aligning them to the rest of your physiology can make all the difference in truly integrating your work and (family) life plus mental health while staying on top of the ToDoList. That's why "Cycles" is out big topic for this month and June in our ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ community, the LIFEsurfers ๐Ÿ‘ˆ๐Ÿผ We kicked it off today with our live call, in which we tuned into the why this is important for us, what our obstacles are, and what intention we have moving forward. All of that while connecting to our intuition, and not just relaying on that inner voice in our heads. Let us know... where are you at when it comes to any of those cycles?

@Mimi Ramsey sleep cycles - absolutely, they are connected! One of our favorite topics - and hence we haven't included them this time, as they deserve a whole "beach" to themselves. Brainwaves in general are super fascinating - not only with regards tosleep. Have you ever heard of mind-body coherence? It's all interconnected.

@Shannon Boyer that's probably what most people would say and do. Especially when coming from a male-dominated hustle work culture. It's also connected to sometimes not feeling to have a say in this, or a choice, other than keep going to not fall behind. But what if honouring your natural cycles actually gets you ahead of everyone else, instead of just keeping up ๐Ÿ˜‰?

Do you have a favorite season? Mine is spring. I (Sandra) love the slowly rising temperatures, the noticeably longer days, and just the overall awakening and increase in colours after a long white winter here in the Canadian prairies. Only that this year... spring just doesn't seem to happen! Last week we've still had overnight frost with -2C, single digits daytime temps... and then this coming week... boom! Up in the +30Cs!!! Trees exploded into green literally overnight (ok, that's exaggerated - it was over 2 or 3 nights ๐Ÿ˜)! Well, bottom line, it's not the easy transition that I love, but a steep jump. And my body and emotions really struggle to keep up. I'm literally in a grieving state - and as an emotional eater this obviously reflects in my tendency to overeat at the moment. As a marine biologist having worked with global change and it's effect on aquatic animals performance, I gotta say that all these changes in weather scare me.
