The good, the bad, and the ugly
Little update... Firstly thank you so much to everyone who's checked in and asked how I'm doing. You folks are awesome and I'm so sorry you only got me at about 40% yesterday πŸ’œ Secondly I have some tearing to my MCL and a bad strain to my quadricep tendon. There were concerns about a potential kneecap fracture but the x-ray says we are all good, and mobility/pain levels would certainly back that up. The bruising has come all the way out now and she ain't pretty. (Happy to drop a pic in comments in case anyone is squeamish πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚) While I'll gladly take the L on being the dickhead that runs towards the bang, I want to be absolutely clear this injury happened assisting with an accident on the way up the day before the open day with Jamie & co. They did a phenomenal job of catering to a huge range of experience and confidence levels. The choice to still train was mine and I made adjustments as necessary. Lastly, saved the best for last, I couldn't find out much as I'm not family but I have established that everyone made it to the hospital and as of this morning are all still alive...honestly that was unexpected. The human body is an incredible thing. πŸ™πŸΌ Homemade bread is also incredible...and much prettier than my knee. πŸ˜‚

Sunday β€˜rest day’
Morning you beautiful people, today was going to be a rest day, I’m now renaming it RECOVERY day, supplements hit, creatine hit, electrolytes hit……now for the enjoyable bit BIG ASS cup of black caramel coffee. Stayed at my dad’s last night so started today with a 5 mile walk through town and along the Tyne, (10k steps BOSH) now sat watching the mighty Newcastle destroy 5underland Have a great day all

I managed a walk when I got up and the lawn has been edged, mown and lawn edges hoed. Having a quick bite with a much deserved seat before I hit the weekly meal prep 😁 Enjoy the footie!

@Jodie O'Donnell πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ hmmm 😜 All done! It wasn't too bad, although getting down on all 4s to weed the edges was not fun, lots of grumbly noises on the way back up too. My wife kindly sorted out the borders yesterday. Go team!
Gym exercises
So after doing Bulgarian split squats yesterday it got me thinking, what is everyone's favourite exercises and most hated exercises at the gym? I am not a fan of Bulgarian split squats or pull ups I like doing the leg press and machine chest press

I do love leg day, especially Deadlifts or Squats, but I'm also a fan of Chest & Shoulder day. It has taken me a while to build up my shoulder again after the Op I had 2 years ago but the Smith Press machine for the chest press variants has been a great aid for stability allowing me to hit higher weights, build strength before transfering the same exercise to the Dumbells, which then helps to build stability and control

After the Live Event yesterday, today I'm taking a rest day but, up at 08:30, quick hydration and it's time for my morning walk. Need to get those legs moving after those 3 rounds on the Giant Set. And that lawn won't mow itself πŸ‘ŠπŸ˜Ž
