Why did the tomato turn red?
Because it saw the salad dressing!

Week 5 with a 1-on-1 client: where she is now
Five sessions in, and the shift is real. When we started, she was overwhelmed by the basics. What to eat, how to get enough protein, how to make plant-based meals that actually felt satisfying. Sound familiar? Now? She has a morning shake routine that's non-negotiable. She's added new recipes to her rotation. She's meal prepping consistently, big salad, a few recipes ready to go, and she's not starting from scratch every week anymore. That's the thing nobody tells you about building better eating habits: the goal isn't perfection. It's having a system. A small enough set of go-to meals that decisions stop being exhausting, and eating well becomes the path of least resistance. By week 5, she has that. And it's changed how she feels - her energy, her afternoons, her relationship with food. This is what working with me actually looks like. Not a rigid meal plan. Not a list of rules. A real, repeatable structure built around your life. I'm sharing this because something is coming to Plant Powered Kitchen Club that's going to bring this same approach to the whole community. A structured way to build your go-to meals, lock in your protein, and stop guessing, in just 30 days. I can't say everything yet. But if you've been waiting for a real system instead of just inspiration, stay tuned. It's coming soon. 👀

Smoothie hiatus
Morning fruit smoothies has been a staple in our house for the past decade. Until recently... I was listening to a podcast in which the health professional said fruit smoothies are not good to eat in the morning for breakfast because of the sugar content. He also stated that blending fruit in the way that you do for a smoothie defeats the purpose of the beneficial nutrients you gain from the fruit because of how you're supposed to eat certain fruits... i.e. eating apple with the skin not just the inside. So now I'm all in my head about it. I'm a bit conflicted. I miss our smoothies! 😭 Your thoughts?

@Nadia Quraishi Excellent advice Nadia. Thank you so much. Some of the things you suggested I already do but definitely not often enough, so we're going to change up our staple recipes a little bit to balance things out so we can enjoy our smoothies again. I'm going to dig into my video watch history to see if I can find the specialist who made that statement. It was most likely on one of the Diary of a CEO podcasts. I too look for different perspectives and take what works for us.
