Why I Created the Blood Sugar Action Guide
I want to share something a little personal with you. I'm of Pakistani descent, and diabetes runs in my family. It's really common amongst Pakistanis (has to do with history and colonialism...we can run deep with that one). So diabetes has always been in the back of my mind. And being here in the US, we know that diabetes is also an epidemic - largely because of the way most of us eat. So between my genetics and my environment, blood sugar has always been something I was aware of. But honestly? I didn't focus on it that much until recently. What changed for me was realizing how much blood sugar balance matters specifically in midlife. It affects your energy, your hormones, your weight, your sleep. And then I started learning more about its connection to cancer too, which hit close to home for me personally. That's when I knew I needed to create something practical around this. ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—•๐—น๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฑ ๐—ฆ๐˜‚๐—ด๐—ฎ๐—ฟ ๐—”๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—š๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ breaks down exactly how blood sugar works, why your energy crashes, and what you can do with plants to stabilize it. It includes the Half Plate Method, food swaps, a daily schedule, a grocery guide, and 5 quick recipes. If you're a Premium member, it's already waiting for you in the Longevity Wellness Vault. If you're not Premium yet, you can get it for $11 in the Wellness Resource Shop inside the classroom. Does blood sugar management feel like something you've been thinking about too? I'd love to know. โค๏ธ

@Sylvia Kilgore thanks for sharing! How amazing that you've been able to control the reactive hypoglycemia with diet all these years? Fiber and protein are definitely your best friends to improve your symptoms. Besides the protein toolkit, if you need any other help, I'm here. Also welcome, so happy to have an RD here ๐Ÿ˜Š

Plant Protein Isn't Inferior. You Were Just Given Bad Advice..
Hey lovelies! If you've ever been asked "but where do you get your protein?" you are not alone. I have been answering that question for eight years. The truth is, most of the confusion around plant protein comes from myths that have been floating around for decades. And they're still being repeated, which is frustrating. So I recorded a video breaking down the three most common ones I hear all the time. Things like whether you can actually get enough protein from plants, whether you need to combine proteins at every meal, and whether plant protein is inferior to animal protein. Spoiler: the answer to all three is probably not what you were told. I hope this clears some things up, whether you're fully plant-based, just adding more plants, or still on the fence. ๐Ÿ‘‰ https://youtu.be/bWDYL7aOd1g?views Drop your thoughts below. And if you have a myth you'd love me to address next, let me know!

@Debbie Hiscock what??? That's so bizarre! That's a new one ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ. People get so triggered for some reason
Someone asked me this week: what foods help with stress?
Such a good question. Here are a few of my favorites: Dark chocolate (at least 70%+), blueberries, leafy greens, avocado, pumpkin seeds, chamomile tea, oats, and fermented foods like kimchi or sauerkraut. The big theme? Stress always hits harder when you're running on empty. Which one are you already eating? And which one are you going to add more of? ๐Ÿ‘‡
