How to Structure Your Content for GEO
Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) is quickly becoming a core part of modern search strategy. It’s not a buzzword. It’s the natural next step in how content is discovered, referenced, and surfaced. For marketing managers, this means adapting content not only for human readers and traditional search engines but also for AI-driven systems that extract and present answers directly to users. In this article, we’ll break down: - What GEO is and why it matters - How generative engines process and select content - The principles of structuring content for GEO - Common mistakes to avoid - Practical examples that show the difference between content that works and content that doesn’t By the end, you’ll know how to brief your team so your content has a higher chance of being surfaced by generative search tools. Nice looks good! Have you considered running brand mention campaigns to get cited in places like Reddit? I think for a company like this there might be some good subreddits you can get featured in to help influence AI search results
Just checked out Perplexity’s AI Browser
Been digging into Perplexity’s new Comet browser and… it’s pretty cool. Rather than working like a chatbot, it works as an AI layer within your browser that can take action inside your browser in an agent-like fashion. Here’s what stood out: 🔑 Benefits - Agentic AI: it doesn’t just fetch info, it does things (navigate sites, pull metrics, find files). - Podcast/YouTube workflows: ask “what was my most downloaded episode last quarter?” and it digs through your dashboard. - Content repurposing: auto-generates posts, titles, even thumbnails from transcripts. - Context awareness: remembers what you’ve been working on, builds on past queries. - Research assistant: For example if you run a podcast it can find top podcasts/videos in your niche and surface trending topics/guests. - Chromium-based: familiar setup, Chrome extensions still work. What's cool about this is that it basically works as a VA within your browser helping to save so much time. 👉 Full demo here (worth a watch): 👉 Some deeper write-ups: TechRadar, Tom’s Guide, WindowsCentral (security flaws) Has anyone here tested it yet? Curious how agencies could fold this into client workflows (reporting, content repurposing, ideation).
