Cape Town...very similar to CasCais Portugal
Very windy this evening, a Kite boarders dream... so Table Mountain has a Table Cloth over it.

@Sandy Chong yes indeed it can!
Naan - Bake-Along with Henry Hunter
Yeast version of naan. I experimented with both sourdough and yeast. This one was the spiral version of the naan. These are my very first attempt in both sourdough and yeast naans. This was my first time I attempted to knead both naans. Hope I did it right. It was not as strenuous as the rubard method. I encourage you to join Henry's Crumb and Crust Academy and bake with us on Saturdays. We have a ton of fun learning, experimenting, helping one anort if we have issues and it will definitely improve your bread baking.first time I attempted to knead both naans. Hope I did it right. @Sandy Chong 🤣🤣🤣
@Sandy Chong awww friend you’re so welcome!!! We’re supposed to edify others. I don’t mind doing just that. It gives me joy to show love and support to others. A kind word to someone may be what they need to keep them from giving up on everything. I appreciate you too, know that.
Ollie’s Naan
I did the sourdough version (I believe Henry adapted this from Ollie’s instant version, but correct me if I’m wrong!) I mixed last night and let it rise overnight since it’s cold out. I put it in the fridge in the morning as I had some other things to do. Rolling these out was so fun and easy. I did Ollie’s method posted here of the snail for lamination but also did my own version filled with mozzarella and pepperoni. I took videos for anyone who may want to try. Ollies method is done in 2 videos as the dough needs to rest between the first and second roll out. All were a hit. My 15 year old at 5 of them and likely would have eaten more if me and dad didn’t at least snag a few 🤣 if you’re looking for a naan recipe please try Ollie’s! https://pantry.bakinggreatbread.com/recipes/self-rising-naan

Your pizza stuffed naan is a fantastic idea… I have got to try that when I make naan again
@Colleen Vergara you sure made it look easy
Hey Cooking with Ollie family!
I made Ollie’s naan yesterday and I couldn’t keep it to myself. Watch the video — yeasted, cast iron, torn apart and eaten before it even had a chance to cool down. This recipe is legit. Tomorrow we’re baking it as a group over at Crust & Crumb Academy. Yeasted, sourdough, cast iron — pick your path and come bake with us. It’s going to be a good one. Thanks Ollie for letting me bring this one to the community. This is exactly the kind of bread that reminds you why you started baking in the first place. Come join us tomorrow 👇 https://www.skool.com/crust-crumb-academy-7621/about
