Fall Office Attire
I posted about a new job in tech and how casual the attire is. I didn’t want to feel over dressed. But I believe I found my groove and everyone knows me fit it. Todays OOTD: - blue jeans - Boots : Redwing Iron Ranger - Shirt : OCBD blue - Tie : gold and purple American Living Repp - Jacket : Thursday Boots Waxed Canvas Field - Hat : baker boy cap gifted recently from Benghazi Libya - Watch : Hamilton Field Khaki Auto It might be a statement with the bakers boy cap but I love the look. The cap was just gifted along with a gold fountain from a market in Benghazi Libya. The stories my clothes tell are richer than the aesthetic themselves.
Fall Office Attire
Every season and endeavor has a style
I find myself dressing to the occasion. I firmly believe that presenting myself as precise as possible for a given activity sets the stage for me to enjoy the richness and depth of the experience optimally. - Stetson, wranglers, wax cloth duster, ariat boots and spurs for driving cattle. - Linen and Colombian sombrero Aguadeno hat for the Caribbean. - Woolf flat cap, shearling coat, cardigan, shirt and tie for winter months - Tweed, brooks brother tie and shirt and jeans for academia and study. Embody your endeavor. There is richness in presentation of the journey.

New office attire dilemma
So I switched jobs recently. Big change in my career with a lot of risk and hopeful upside. I am at a really fast growing tech startup. I’m in office everyday and the attire by everyone up to the CEO is as casual as you can imagine. Shorts, seats, tee shirts, etc. I don’t want to dress down but I also don’t want to be so over dressed. As someone who prefers a tie and a tweed blazer, it is tough for me to figure out the sweet spot. Any advice?
Anyone else feel like they're just pretending?
My age is telling me I'm an adult man but I still don't really feel like it. Kind of just feel like a kid pretending to be an adult. Anyone else feeling that way? I know everyone says things like fake it till you make it, but will I ever really feel like an adult or is it just my joints that will feel it? 😅

The secret reality is that basically everyone at every level feels imposter syndrome. We are all still struggling to figure things out at every level we are at. I believe it is good to identify some role models that embody what you want to be and not what you are and then model yourself to be those things. By doing that you’ll progress toward the goal but it also means you’ll never feel like you are truly where you need to be. That’s the burden of the journey
What's Your Signature Style?
I’ve read endless chatter about the virtues of a signature fragrance, but I juggle over 50 scents like a circus act, so pinning one down feels like chasing a unicorn. No signature fragrance here. Instead, I’m curious: what nails your signature style? For some, it’s that hat they’d sooner die than remove. Me? I’m wedded to the pocket square. I suit up daily for work and never skip the pocket square—it’s the accessory that screams, “I pay attention to the details." What’s your style hallmark?

@Darren Poesel yeah. It has been a journey and a hard balance. I try to dress in a way that curates my environment(me as a part of it embodied) to inspire me for my desired outcome. In this case to inspire me to continuously develop into the man I want to be. Those inspirations come from old English Oxford style(wool, tweed, academic ties, OCBD, etc), mountain roots(Norse heritage wool, Rocky Mountain homeland, nods to my cowboy work and heritage). I’m know for blue button ups, knit or Ivy stripe ties, tweed sports coat, brown leather boots, tweed flat cap, long shearling overcoat(a signature piece).
