🌙 The One Rule That Saved My Sleep
For years my bedtime was a moving target. I'll go when I'm done. The problem: with an ADHD brain, you are never done. There is always one more message, one more tab, one more thing. So I changed the question. Not: "Am I done?" But: "IS IT BEDTIME?" That's it. One rule, no system, no schedule. 🛏️ My bedtime is set. I choose the hour. ⏰ What isn't finished by then, isn't finished. Tomorrow exists. ❓ The only question I ask at night is: is it bedtime? Yes? Then I go. Not because I'm strict. Because I'm done negotiating with a brain that will always find one more reason to stay up. Sleep is the first domino, not the last. 🌱 Anyone that wants to borrow my question? Please feel free to do so 🤣👍

Introducing my new content pillars
Part of me wants to sit on these and contemplate further but I like them so I have asked JT (Jim’s Twin 😉) to update the memory with THESE as my new content pillars. Having read over them again I like them so much 💗 I particularly like the structure of thinking of them as: The Heart, The Method, The Practice, The Becoming. Here they are (taken from a recent convo with JT): 1. The Heart - "Appreciate the life you're in." Contentment, the present moment, the flip. The soul. 2. The Method - "Start Anywhere." Permission, can't fall behind, can't fail, anything counts, the Skim principle. 3. The Practice - "Start With The Laundry." The specific, tangible doorway. Your offer, breathing. 4. The Becoming - "the woman she's turning into." Quiet identity proof: she trusts herself, she finishes, she likes her home again. Hero-focused, never about you. Four buckets, one note: you're not behind, start where you are, and fall back in love with the life you've already got.

Sleep…really makes a difference 😍
Since the last challenge I have been focusing intentionally on sleep as a big rock. I can now say that I have consistently been getting to bed before 10:30 for 4 weeks and I’m getting close to my goal of 7 hrs sleep per night…it’s really making a difference! I find I am generally more focused and feel like I’m following through with things… I’m doing daily planning and actually ticking things off my list. Lots of these are things I have been procrastinating on for months. I’ve also had other wins…especially with maintaining zero in unread emails across 3 email boxes. I never realised how draining that little red number showing unread emails was until it was no longer in the 1000’s ( I have collectively deleted 20,000 emails to date). Getting sleep set up as a big rock was the best thing I could have done.🥰
