"Follow up until one of you dies"
I made a post asking how long I should continue to follow up with someone before just giving up. Giulio commented something like "keep calling until one of you dies". And it's still the best advice I've gotten in regards to sales! After TWO YEARS of reaching out to a contact regularly, and getting pushed off every time, I finally got the sale today!!! I had actually just spoke to my contact last week and he pushed me off again, but the next day he reached out and put me in touch with the owner. And he put in a good word for me to the owner, making my job of selling my services that much easier. Just wanted to share the importance of following up regularly (and for eternity lol) with contacts and standing out so when they do have a need, you're the first person they think to reach out to. If nothing else, this should give you hope when you call a contact for the 800th time and get turned down or pushed off for the 800th time-- it'll turn into something... eventually!

Tip of the week
Hello underdogs, From this week, I'll hit you all with a tip to get you started. THE LIST: The quality of the list and who you call is absolutely crucial. I'd follow these three steps: 1. Ensure the companies/people you target are likely to have the problems you fix. 2. Always prepare your target lists and prep separately from calling time. 3. ALWAYS find mobiles and direct lines if you can. Unless your commission is rubbish, it's even worth paying for yourself. Reminders for everyone: 1. Post your strugglesĀ The Forum, and frame them as open questions for more answers. 2. The human brains learn best by discussing or teaching; give your opinion! 3. The more you engage, the more free stuff you’ll get in theĀ Classroom. If you want direct access to me and more personalised coaching, join theĀ Elite Community. Any issues refer to me or our fantastic community manager @Cinzia Sirbu Happy Dialling (Yes, I need a haircut)

Idk why I have some head trash calling mobile numbers, I hate being called on my phone so maybe that’s why I have avoided mobiles
Do you say thank you?
99% of prospects will not thank you for cold calling them. Most managers won't thank you for cold calling. You won't even thank yourself. Yet, you are doing a hard job. You're putting yourself on the line. And you are fundamentally helping yourself. Do you thank yourself for having the courage to pick up the phone? Those of you who are struggling, don't forget to check the Classroom, a bunch of free shit is there for you. And don't forget the biggest value is the knowledge you get from each other. Any questions refer to me or @Cinzia Sirbu. PS: If you want to level up with Weekly roleplays and Q&A check out the Elite Community

Haven’t thought about thanking myself that’s a good point !
Being up front is working
Spoke with a current customer today and she mentioned how many cold calls she gets on a regular basis. She shared many reps are like telemarketers, pretending to care how her day is going I asked if I were to be up front and say ā€œthis is a dreaded cold call, can I have 30 seconds to tell you why I’m calling before you decide if you want to hang upā€ would that be better? She said absolutely, don’t BS me on fake niceties What we’re learning here works! Have you seen a difference in people willing to chat by being up front?
Get Past the Gatekeeper
It's too common the receptionist/operator claims the target is busy, on the other line, or not in the office and wants to take a message or direct you to their voicemail. So what's your best practice to navigate this?
