This wasn’t just a commercial shoot.
It was homage to our ancestors. As we stood here recording the 2026 Black Women Sell Live commercial, all I could think was: We are making them proud. I couldn’t help but wonder… What would Madam C.J. Walker say about the 2 million+ Black women–owned businesses operating today? What would Maggie Lena Walker say about the $98.3 billion our companies generate? What would she say about the fact that we’ve more than doubled our average annual revenue since the pandemic— even while traditional banks still hesitate to believe in our visions? What would she say about our ability to love each other, collaborate, and support one another— even in a world designed to fracture us? I don’t care what anyone says. Dedicating my life’s work to helping Black women experts rise and dominate their lanes was the best pivot I’ve ever made. Our history is RICH. Our creativity is RICH. Our love is RICH. We are all that and a bag of chips. When I wrote the script for the Black Women Sell Live commercial, I knew I couldn’t do it alone. I needed actresses to portray Madam C.J. Walker, Maggie Lena Walker, Ida B. Wells, and Mary Ellen Pleasant. I needed a full production team to bring the vision to life. I needed a director who could steward the assignment with excellence. And although I’ve written small commercial scripts before, this one was different. The first draft was 25+ pages… for a 5–10 minute commercial. Too long. But every word mattered. I had to research the figures. I had to build a narrative where the past and present collided. Some of it is fiction. Much of it is historically accurate. So who carried the vision mattered. So who did I call? A Black woman–owned production company. Of course. It’s fitting that a commercial about Black women’s economic power was built by sisters—and supported by strong men who honor that power. It’s fitting that I had to release control and trust other Black women to steward the vision. It’s fitting that this required collaboration, discernment, and trust
This wasn’t just a commercial shoot.

This Morning in Prayer, God Checked Me.
I was reading through the Ten Commandments—just spending time with the Lord—and one line stopped me in my tracks: “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.” Exodus 20:17 It hit different today. Because as I read that, God showed me something so many entrepreneurs (myself included) struggle with… We would be happier, more fulfilled, and further along if we just kept our eyes on our own paper. Back Then: The Israelites Were Free—But Still Looking Sideways God had just delivered them from Egypt with miracle after miracle. They saw plagues fall, seas split, and manna fall from heaven. And still… they wanted what others had: - A king, like other nations (1 Samuel 8:5) - Idols, like Egypt’s gods (Exodus 32) - Control, even if it meant returning to slavery (Numbers 14:4) Their desires weren’t pure. They were shaped by what they saw around them—not what God spoke to them. That Made Me Think About Us—Entrepreneurs. How many of us are chasing things not because we want them—but because we see them? - That launch style… - That income goal… - That offer or funnel… One of the first successful businesses that I started was my law firm, Mobile General Counsel. Initially, we sold trademarks for $2,000 because that’s what I saw every other lawyer doing and it looked like they were successful. I had no clue whether they were making money or not. I had no clue whether they were happy or not. And I had no clue what their profit margins were. But it looked good on Instagram, so I did it—and my profits suffered. It wasn’t until I started realizing that what made me unique was all of the experiences that God allowed me to have. This realization allowed me to show up in my authenticity. What makes you different isn’t what you sell. It’s the experiences that you bring to what you sell. It’s your ability to know who you are, and more importantly, whose you are.

‼️READ FOR OUR SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY DETAILED‼️ That one sentence from my husband shifted everything for me. I used to post randomly—one post here, maybe a live or two each week. But when he said that, something clicked. I realized that visibility was the missing piece. I needed to put out way more content. As my team and capacity grew, I finally understood: volume moves the needle. Right now, we’re doing: ✅ 4–5 posts a day on Instagram ✅ 10 short-form videos a day on YouTube ✅ 2 long-form YouTube videos per week ✅ $30K–$60K/month in paid ads We now have an organic and paid media strategy, and we are all in. But here’s the truth: even before all this, I had a daily plan to get my name out there. I wasn’t just posting—I was pitching myself weekly: 🎤 Pitching to the media 🎧 Pitching to podcasts 🗣️ Pitching to speak in front of other people’s groups People always ask me for my content calendar or what app I use. But y’all, a calendar won’t save you. A planner won’t post for you. You don’t need another tool—you need to do the work. Every single one of y’all could go live every day for a year if you really wanted to. The question is: how badly do you want to help the world with the knowledge you have? Because if you really want it, your consistency will show it. Here’s how we create our content at scale: 1. Content Day Workflow 🎬 Record 60 Reels in one day 🤖 Use this ChatGPT prompt: “I have a lot of content coming up in the areas of [insert your 4–5 content pillars]. Please give me 60 questions phrased like: ‘Tell me a story about how…’ followed by something my ideal client would want to know. My ideal client is [insert description]. Format them as questions that a videographer could ask me on camera.” 📄 I feed ChatGPT my 30+ page market research PDF to make the prompts even sharper 🎤 I record the content unscripted, just answering the questions naturally 2. Editing & Distribution 📁 Raw footage goes into Google Drive ✂️ My full-time videographer sends it to a contractor who edits all 60 videos within a week
