Hi everyone! I’m filming a new lesson right now and will be posting it shortly. Is there any specific topic you’d like me to cover? So far, I’ll be analyzing a pop ups and giving tips on how to pop up more efficiently, especially the importance of lunging forward. I’ll also share a drill that helps you stay high on the mast. The wind here on Oahu has abandoned us for nearly 2 months... But it seems to be picking up this weekend, and I can't wait to start filming more downwind runs for you all! Let me know what you’d like to see next 🤙🏼 Aloha, Edo

Cool. Will check out your new video when posted. Aside from timing the bumps, do you apply any different principles in the bumps vs flat water, or everything is exactly the same? And looking forward to seeing some bump-reading analysis. When to go left vs right vs straight. I know this is hard to capture on video but if you are able to do so via drone or POV footage that would be awesome. Drills to ride high sounds useful too. Thanks 😊
Pop-up analysis #2
In this session I’m analysing paddle up videos from: Brad, Harold, and Eli. Emphasis on: - Mast positioning relative to your board — Why throwing your mast all the way forward for “more lift” often works against you. - Using your legs — Pumping is a huge part of the pop-up, not just paddling. - Full forward extension with a clean paddle entry and full engagement. - Using your lats for power instead of muscling it with your arms. I also added an example of my own paddle-up so you can see how it should all come together. Watch the breakdown and drop any questions or comments below!

Got out in flat water again today. Got up flying 5 out of 6 attempts! This isn’t the first time I flat watered this wing/board but I’ve never done it 5 times in a row! And last time out was like 0-20 lol. I didn’t move my mast (yet) cause I didn’t wanna change too much at once. But I focused on straight arms, which forced me to reach forward just an inch or 2 more, and then pulling with my lats. I also made it a point to pump my legs a little more to bounce the board a bit harder… using your advice to try get more air under the board to break surface tension on the water. And the results were immediate! Hopefully I’ll keep improving on this and keeping consistent and then I’ll downsize wings :) Nobody was out there to video today but will try bring a friend next time so we can see the new technique in action :) Thanks Edo!
