BESIDES GUITARS... WHAT DO YOU COLLECT?
I have varied interests besides music and guitars. My guitar collection has doubled since the beginning of the year. But I also collect several other things. I used to collect sports cards and memorabilia. I still have my collection, but none of it is displayed. I may pull out a few of my prized possessions and display them, but I'm quickly running out of space. Here are some of the things currently on display in my office (or studio, or mancave... take your pick). Funko POPs -- currently limited to Funko POP Rocks! and Vegas Golden Knights figurines. I have a few more Iron Maiden POPs to get, some of them are a bit hard to find. I need two or three more to finish GnR, Ozzy, and AC/DC, and quite a few to finish Queen and KISS. I haven't started on the Hendrix line. I'm not sure if I will, due to space limitations. I think I have all the VGK figurines currently available, including the team's mascot, Chance. I initially planned to collect the Star Wars, Marvel, and GoT figurines, but there are just way too many of them -- I'm planning to sell or trade the few I have. I have a collection of POP keychains, mostly Marvel, with a few Star Wars and Incredibles items included, but I'm no longer actively collecting these. Some other things I collect are watches (especially pocket watches), resin pyramids, resin dragons, Tarot and Oracle cards, rocks, minerals, and crystals (my BS degree is in Geology), and Iron Maiden night lights (have many still to buy). I need a bigger office. So, tell me... besides guitars, stompboxes/pedals, what do you collect? Include photos if you can.

Tools. I am building a maker space. It’s mostly woodworking, 3D printing, and electronics at the moment, but I will add metalworking/blacksmithing eventually.

@Gerald Christlieb Nice. I don't do the animal collecting around here, that's my wife's thing. We have 29 Shetland sheep and about 20 chickens right now. She's looking for a ram to breed the sheep, so it may be 60 in a few months.
Levels of guitar abilities
When I read or hear about someone being a Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced level player: Exactly what differentiates one from another?? Is there like a bridge you have to cross or a test you have to take???

I often wonder the same thing. I feel I have intermediate skills in some areas, but beginner skills in many others. I know lots of music theory, but I can't actually sight-read music for guitar. I don't have any advanced skills in this area, but the rest are kind of all over the place.

Dust in the Wind by Kansas is always my go-to first song.
Pro vs amateur?
Would love to know how many of you are playing out - solo or in a band? Anyone here do open mic events? Or are you just practicing and playing for fun? Personally, I have sang in several bands, but have recently begun playing some originals (guitar and vox) at open mics.

"In Public" may be pushing it. I have played at some select events for church or with friends. In the coming year, I'm looking to do busking at the renaissance faire and the like.
Picks, Strings… and a Rubber Duck?
What’s the most ‘non-guitar’ item in your guitar case?

Mine feels boring after all these, but I have a set of Mandolin strings in my guitar bag. It seemed the best place to put them at the time.

@Ronald Parada my wife found an old one at a local estate sale and gave it to me for Christmas. I’m a big guy and it is small so I don’t play it much, but I do want to learn. I had to replace the tuning machines and restring it and it still needs some fret work to be fully usable. It’s still more of a project than an instrument right now.
