As a positive psychology practitioner, I work on the positives we can cultivate in life and how they access our self esteem, our connection to others and our happiness. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-power-of-experience/202501/selfless-service-help-others-to-unlock-your-own-fulfillment Acts of service, with no expectation, but with an intention to do good, to help, to support and to put out ripple effects into the world of others, actually have an impact on us as well as those of we serve. Acts of service, not from people pleasing or codependency, not grasping for something or trying to get something, but genuine kindness, support and connection enhances our wellbeing, has a positive impact on us and the world around us, and can increase self esteem. Anything from volunteering, recommending a business or service, helping a friend or neighbour with something, offering your time to someone to help them all makes a difference. When our cup runneth over, we have more to share and pour. What acts of service lights you up? Have you had someone show up for you? What was its impact? Tx
