I just came across the fact that book shelves on your backwall are not ideal for mixing. I understand why they are not diffusers and why they're not the best bass traps but my back wall has 4 full book cases and there's nowhere else for them to go. I was about to buy myself some speakers, but now I'm wondering if I'm going to hear things inaccurately. So my questions is, should I go ahead and get speakers and sonar works and hope for the best, or should I just send my headphones to sonar works to get calibrated by sonar works and stick with that?

How many people here are actually doing the whole process of Recording and mixing in your space as apposed to just getting mix ready projects from clients? As for myself, I have a live room and a mixing room in my house, and find myself doing the whole process of tracking, editing, and mixing and have yet to work with a client that has everything ready for just mixing.
