Cold weather determines warm apparel.
Fresh Shave this morning: Question for the group - What do you shave with? For the first time, I've bought a safety razor for single edge blades and shaving brush and soap. No fancy razor and brush and soap but a set to start out with that had good reviews. I tried, once again, an electric shaver, Panasonic and while supposedly convenient and found a decent shave I wasted time going over missed spots. Used Lectric shave before but no luck. So far, so good with the safety razor and i use Clinique post shave lotion. Any particular brand suggestions of razor, brush, soap or lotions ?

Aesthetically, Wool coat but I do wear my Puffy Coat most from a pragmatic standpoint. Its lightweight construction and effectiveness against the cold makes it very convenient especially in situations like going into a mall wearing it outside and still being comfortable inside with it on. A heavy or wool coat would be hot inside and you have to take it off and lug it around.

It's been awhile since I have made a post and have been active. As we all know life puts challenges in front of us, and we need to meet them head on. With that said, we experience positives as well- this is one of them for me. https://mrhealthandfit.com/2026/john-coneset If this message resonates, I’d truly appreciate your support. Not for ego, but to help amplify a message that discipline, character, and whole-man wellness still matter. I’ve been selected as a finalist for Mr. Health & Fitness 2026, and I receive that with genuine humility. This isn’t my first chapter with Mr. Health & Fitness. My journey here mirrors my life—progress, setbacks, recalibration, and resolve. There were seasons when my health drifted, focus slipped, and discipline had to be rebuilt from the ground up. No shortcuts. No spotlights. Just daily decisions. That lived experience is what I bring to the Real Men Real Style community. It’s never been about perfection. It’s about standards. About reminding men—especially those who believe their best years are behind them—that real health is comprehensive: physical strength, mental clarity, emotional resilience, and social connection, all working together. My compass remains constant: Passion. Purpose. Presence. Passion to do the work. Purpose to make it meaningful. Presence to show up fully—in my body, my mind, my relationships, and my community. Being named a finalist isn’t a finish line—it’s a platform. One I intend to use to reinforce a timeless truth: real men take responsibility for their health, their appearance, and their impact—at every stage of life.

I got da brown and olive blues
It usually takes me about 60 seconds to construct an outfit. Started with brown 5 pocket Bill Blass Cords, added a CT Oxford basket weave blue shirt and the second day wearing a cardigan sweater. This merino wool olive with the blue shirt offers many possibilities. I threw my RL parquet weave tweed ( I used to describe this as a barley corn but that didn’t sound right so using the style dictionary Antonio created I realized it was a parquet-like the floor -weave). My 1 minute assemblage stretched out to three because with olives and blues there are so many choices. I got down to three ties. I settled on my newest tie-a deep plumb wool challis club tie and my reversible wool pocket square (opposite side from yesterday). Orvis field watch and 1982 Cole Haan Waxhides and argyle socks finished it off.
