[email protected] 💡 About the job: Unity Technical Artist role supporting Waterpark Simulator in Steam Early Access Focus on visual quality, performance optimization, and workflow improvements Initial 3-month contract with potential transition to full-time Work includes preparation for full release and console ports Collaboration with both artists and programmers in a live project environment 🎯 Responsibilities: Optimize textures, shaders, materials, draw calls, and memory usage Profile the project using Unity Profiler and Frame Debugger Identify bottlenecks and propose practical optimization solutions Set up and maintain prefabs and assets with performance in mind Support artists with technical guidance and clear alternatives Improve rendering pipelines and runtime performance Apply texture atlasing, trim sheets, GPU instancing, SRP Batcher, and Addressables Assist with PlayStation and Xbox Series X/S optimization Contribute to a live Early Access production pipeline 🛠️ Qualifications: Strong experience as a Unity Technical Artist on commercial projects Solid understanding of real-time rendering and optimization Confident with Blender and Unity asset pipelines Experience optimizing shaders, material variants, draw calls, and memory budgets Hands-on use of Unity Profiler and Frame Debugger Ability to balance performance, visuals, and production timelines Proactive and able to work independently Clear communication with artists and programmers Located roughly within European time zones ➕ Preferred Skills: Experience with console development or porting Blender Python scripting for asset preparation Experience with simulator or tycoon-style games Experience supporting live or Early Access titles Familiarity with Shader Graph, particles, or VFX Graph optimization
