Junior u10 Girls Training
My daughter starts u10 girls training next week, any help or tips at this age would be great. I was just going to start of with some basics 1) Making sure the training is fun and the game is fun 2) Doing some basic fundamentals - holding the ball properly and kicking drills, hand passing drills 3) rolling the ball on the ground, learning to get a clean pick up and hand pass etc 4) put some of this in a game scenario Any other advice for this age group?

You are on the money, as the other guys have stated, this is the perfect age to teach them right, because before you know it there in U15 and still have no idea. If you have to strip it right back do so, and make sure every child is moving forward together, yes some will get this quicker others but at this age group is the age you need to rectify any issues they bring from the younger age groups. As dean said make it a competition kids love to compete.
Wet weather drills
Hi Everyone Can anyone give me any examples of what you do for wet weather drills. Its wet here in Qld right now, but the girls team obviously need to know how to play a different game in the wet weather as its not gong to be dry all the time. Any hints or tips on what some of you experienced coaches do would be great.

Hello Shane, I understand your concerns. As someone from Victoria who plays in various weather conditions, I can relate to the challenges you face. In Victoria, we encounter rain, hail, and sunshine. When game day arrives up here, wet conditions can be unpredictable, and children may lack the necessary training to handle such situations. To address this issue, I have implemented a comprehensive groundwork program. This includes drills that involve touching the ball to the ground, quick hand passing, and direct kicking, all while practicing chest marking. Additionally, I have used wet footballs to demonstrate the difference between a dry and wet ball to the players, but just need to stop them from doing what they would in a dry game. However, I acknowledge that access to wet ground can be limited, especially in Queensland, where it is not permitted. Nevertheless, I believe that these strategies can be effective in preparing players for various weather conditions. I hope this information is helpful.
Commitment to training?
I've been helping /coaching the same group of girls over 5 years and we've had the same lack of commitment to training from year 1. They're now the senior women's team & with a list of around 23, our average numbers at training are about 10...any ideas much appreciated?

Occasionally, this situation can be challenging due to work commitments. However, if this has persisted for an extended period, it is essential to acknowledge that the issue primarily lies with the parents. This situation becomes particularly difficult when managing a small club with limited teams. Nevertheless, it is crucial to establish accountability among the players. If possible, the players who demonstrate effort should be rewarded with increased playing time, while those who consistently fail to attend should be relegated to the bench. While this approach may be challenging, it is necessary to establish clear expectations with each player.
Testing
How many coaches and players are running beep tests? I have the beep test app and usually get my players to complete it 2-3 times a season.
