Amouage isn’t known for their fresh fragrances. But they’re known for their beast mode scents. And I was very excited to find out that they do have some solid fresher fragrances from the house. I was always curious about beach hut man. I purchased a sample due to my area not having many options to find and purchase/sample. After first smelling it I instantly fell in love! I love green fragrances and it’s 100% up my ally so I decided to pull the trigger on a full bottle. This stuff is really strong and will last all day which always seems difficult to find in a fresher scent profile. It smells like very realistic lime and mint being muddled to make a mojito. It has some nice woody notes to balance it out. It’s a more mature type fragrance… say, easily 30’s+. But it doesn’t smell “old”. I’m not the best at picking out notes but it just smells very fresh and green and woody and kinda soapy, minty but a very realistic mint leaf that’s perfectly balanced. This stuff is very well blended and if you haven’t tried it before, you must get your nose on it!

I recently blind bought Hermes h24 EDP. I’ve always loved green fragrances, and I must say I was extremely happy with this purchase. I love this fragrance! It’s a pretty unique scent profile. I haven’t smelled anything similar to it at all. To me. It smells like a very mossy pear, but in a good way. The projection is solid, and the longevity is really good. It lasts all day on me. I love green fragrances and this is a very nice, green one. I could see anyone in their early 30’s-50’s wearing this. To me it feels mature, yet younger can pull it off at the same time. Anyone else own this fragrance or sampled it before? What are your thoughts? Would love to hear what everyone thinks!

Green Irish tweed is my favorite fragrance of all time. It’s classic and timeless. There’s just something about it that I love so much. To me it’s the epitome of a green fragrance. Very fresh, bright, clean, sophisticated, and embodies what a gentleman is in a bottle. Yet, with all Creed fragrances in recent years, the performance is not the best. Especially when you’re looking at $475 retail, or $250 discounters. You’d expect something massive with those prices. So I have good news for you guys who are looking for a great alternative. Perfume Parlor makes an amazing dupe of green Irish tweed. I’ve had it for a week now, and even though there are some slight differences because let’s be real, you can’t 100% copy the real thing. It’s very very difficult to do so. Yet perfume parlor gets insanely close. To my nose, it’s about 95-98% there. In the air I can’t hardly tell a difference. Creed does have that quality to the smell. There is a certain sharpness (not in a bad way) or a certain zest when you smell it. You really smell the freshness and the greenness. Perfume parlor is a bit more subtle and on skin with you’re nose right up to it, it’s slightly “smoother”. But again, in the air, you can’t tell a difference. So if anyone absolutely loves green Irish tweed, but wants a 10/10 alternative that doesn’t break the bank ($44 for a 60ml extrait version) and save the real stuff for a special occasion and wear the alternative as a daily without feeling bad for blowing through such an expensive bottle, then I would highly recommend checking out perfume parlors version. Now, even though I think it’s amazing, a little bit of something to watch out for.. or at least expect. When I first got it, the first couple sprays were really harsh in the opening. Lots of alcohol and thought “what the hell is this?” It goes away very fast. But after a few days, that harshness wasn’t there anymore after spraying. And it really started to open up and got MUCH smoother and jsut overall better. So it’s one you’ll need to let macerate for a bit. But it is worth it. Personally, for the money, you can’t beat it. AND, it lasts allllllllll day lol

So generally I love Parfums de Marley. And I’m always a sucker for fresh bright summer fragrances. So when I learned that PDM released a new summer fragrance, I was really excited to smell it. Went to a local perfume house and tested multiple different fragrances. Tried this one on a test strip and absolutely loved it. Could not stop thinking about it so I went back and bought a sample to test it on my skin. And I must say, I was extremely turned off. I thought it would dry down to something nice, but the entire time it smelled like some sort of cleaner. I couldn’t quite figure it out.. and then it hit me. This stuff smells exactly like lemon pledge spray. And not in a good way. It smells like a chemical. It’s very bitter and almost stings your nose when you smell it. I’m not sure what they were thinking with this one but IMO this was a massive fumble. Try it for yourself, but if anyone is curious about purchasing this, just be aware that you will smell like a lemon scented cleaning chemical.
