I joined the community in February , just after starting my mortgage broker journey at the end of January 2025. At first, I was full of fear and doubt. After my first one-on-one with Malcolm, he spoke life into me and gave me the belief that I could do this business. That push led to my first deal in March. When things slowed down, I struggled again, but during my second one-on-one in June, it really clicked. I simplified my marketing, focused on meaningful conversations, and began to see myself as a real estate problem solver. That shift in mindset changed everything. Now the momentum is building—just as Malcolm said it would. I closed 2 deals in August with a scheduled closing on the 2nd of Sept, and a couple more by the 10th and more in the pipeline. As I write this I just received a refinance application for a 24-unit property in Kansas. I’m truly enjoying this business with confidence, passion and fun. Thank you, Malcolm, for your teachings, motivation, and belief that anyone can succeed with the right mindset, tools, and consistency.

- Who you are and what you do? I've spent the last 2 years self employed learning and teaching social media marketing specifically Meta organic and paid ad strategies. I worked as a commercial banker at a regional bank for 6 years prior, where I helped business owners and real estate investors with their loan and other financial services needs. - What's your goal for 2025? I had to call Malcolm Friday morning because my direct lender who finances mobile home parks doesn’t finance RV parks. This lead actually came from Facebook marketing—specifically from one of my early-morning prospecting sessions. I woke up around 1 a.m. PST with a strong urge to hunt for new opportunities, so I followed that inspired action, then went back to sleep. By the time I got up again around 7:30 a.m., I had a voice message from a seller of an RV park. They already have a strong buyer in place, but the deal was stuck due to issues with the buyer’s tax returns. I quickly coordinated a call between Malcolm and the seller. Now, we’re waiting for the buyer’s broker to send over the full file so we can get to work. The timeline is tight, and the rural location presents some challenges—but once again, I’m reminded to trust the process and show up with my best.

Introduction
Hi all, excited to embark on this journey together. I'm a realtor-turned Commercial RE Broker. Just joined Marcus & Millichap. Was in process of getting my Residential MLO license (SAFE test scheduled) and decided if I'm switching my RE business from residential to commercial I had better look into commercial lending too, so here I am! - Goal for 2025: close 3 Commercial sales and net 250k in commissions (500k but 250 after my broker split). Close at least 1 commercial loan and 3 hard money loans with my investor connections. - Biggest Struggle - in the lending part will be finding the time to do lending. I'm committed to making 500 outbound prospecting calls per week on the brokerage side, so that will take a lot of time. I'm going to have to work my calendar to figure out how to block some lending time in.

@Justin Montoya Respect for going all in. Transitioning from residential to commercial is no small leap, and it sounds like you're coming in with real intention and structure. Props for backing your goals with volume!
