I got my first sales job in 1987 selling Encyclopedia Britannica. Since then I have sold: - Cars - Real Estate - Home Improvement - MLM - Insurance - Investments - and finally Money. i.e. Lending.💰 🏦For the past 18 years, selling money for a fee has been my jam. It is evergreen, always in demand, recession-proof, pandemic-proof, never needs a demo, or a sales pitch on why you need it. It feeds most of the needs of the human condition. Security, Freedom, Independence, Ego/Self-Actualization, and Charity. 🎯Ask anyone "What's important about money to you?" and if you dig deep enough you will find one of those at the heart of it. The best Close I have ever seen: "So if I help you get money so that you can gain _______(freedom, security, status, etc.) then do we have a basis for doing business?" I have not found anything I enjoy more than helping people achieve their dreams and be true to their values. Money is one of the most powerful and ancient tools Man uses to do that. With lending, it's not about selling, it's about qualifying. Everyone already wants it, the question is what do they have to do to get it. The business is simple and the need for it permanent. Lenders have been around since before Jesus walked the Earth. Technology will not change the Why, just the How. I love this business. This is my Why.
