Intentional Living
Style is rarely about excess; more often, it is the quiet confidence found in harmony between fit, texture, and restraint. Here, the olive linen, stone trousers, warm cognac loafers, and gold-toned watch create a refined palette that feels equally at home along the San Antonio River Walk as it would in the cafés of southern Europe. A gentleman understands that true sophistication is not worn to impress others—it is worn as a reflection of self-respect and intentional living.

@Dr. Jason Cole Invicta genuinely crafts some fantastic timepieces. However, because their dials are roughly the size of a satellite dish, wearing one to a black-tie event might make you look like a medieval warrior wielding a buckler. They are absolute masterpieces—just best kept to backyard barbecues and situations where you don't mind a passive-aggressive forearm workout.

RMRS Weekly Member Shoutouts 👏
Gents, a few posts stood out this week for driving great conversation, consistency, and community energy. 1. @Chad Smith Post: https://www.skool.com/rmrs/two-terrific-things Big shoutout to Chad for sharing a real-life style win tied to work, personal development, and everyday confidence. His post about using his professional development benefit toward a leather laptop briefcase — and getting noticed for his flat cap — is exactly the kind of practical “style in real life” moment that helps other men connect the dots. 2. @Brian McGuire Post: https://www.skool.com/rmrs/fabric-function-fit Shoutout to Brian for adding depth to the conversation around RMRS' Style Pyramid. His reflection on fabric, function, fit, and decades of classic menswear experience brought real substance to the group and gave members something useful to think about beyond just outfit photos. 3. @Darren Poesel Post: https://www.skool.com/rmrs/date-night-bfc95545 Big shoutout to Darren for the date night post. Linen on linen, thoughtful details, and dressing well for his wife after 30 years — that is a strong reminder that style is not just about looking sharp, it is about showing respect for the people and moments that matter. 4. @Mitch Hoover Post: https://www.skool.com/rmrs/elevating-even-when-its-a-challenge Shoutout to Mitch for showing how to keep elevating your style even when the setting is not ideal. His post had personality, humor, and practical context — a good reminder that dressing intentionally does not require perfect conditions. 5. @Dr. Jason Cole Post: https://www.skool.com/rmrs/ootd-cw-19-may-2026

Congrats my friend. Your continue to be part of the bedrock of this community,
Dialed in for the Weekend.
Casual Saturday afternoons call for two things: comfort and just enough style to make it look like you didn’t accidentally become well-dressed. I decided to leave the short-sleeve linen shirt untucked, because sometimes relaxed elegance deserves a little breathing room—especially in Texas heat. Paired with another set of my new 34 Heritage jeans, which may very well be the closest thing to socially acceptable pajamas ever created, the outfit strikes that perfect balance between polished and effortless. The white Allen Edmonds leather sneakers keep the look crisp and modern while adding just enough refinement to elevate the casual foundation. And of course, the straw fedora and sunglasses step in like the finishing touches of a gentleman who may or may not have plans involving a patio, good conversation, and something aged in a bourbon barrel later this evening. Oh, and to top it off, a couple of spritzes of Le Jardin De Monsieur Li EDT by Hermes finishes the outfit with a chef's kiss.
Dialed in for the Weekend.

@Peter Kokoszka Thanks, Peter. This is my first foray into fedora's. Here in South Texas, I usually wear a cowboy hat to protect my head from the sun, but they won't work with this type of casual wear.

@William Feldtmose My pleasure, Sir.
How much of your wardrobe do you use?
@Antonio Centeno frequently notes that if you do not use an item for a year, clear it from the wardrobe. I have a related, but methodologically different, approach: know how much of your wardrobe you use and, for pieces unused, consider how you can use them. If you just dislike them, then definitely get rid of them. These are my data and this helps me review every week how I am doing. Overall, I am happy with the use metrics and attribute some of this to my insisting Tuesdays and Fridays use infrequently used items. The big category atop the list includes dress shirts, short sleeve shirts, long-sleeve casual shirts, and jerseys. It's my biggest gap area, largely because I have a lot short sleeve shirts not worn since last summer.

Dr J.,Your methodological departure from Centeno's binary disposal rule introduces a highly sophisticated, cognitively active approach to wardrobe curation that emphasizes utility optimization over simple reductionism. By implementing a scheduled intervention—specifically targeting infrequently utilized items on Tuesdays and Fridays—you successfully transition passive assets back into active rotation, thereby maximizing the latent value of your collection. This data-driven, weekly feedback loop not only mitigates premature disposal but also systematically identifies seasonal bottlenecks, transforming wardrobe maintenance from a chore into an analytical exercise in resource optimization.
