Treasure LOL
Inside an amazing home I inspected this week look at the authentic poster and signatures on dash. Then the NSX acura in the other garage. Anyone ever driven either of these?

Grit

So there is actually an answer for this according to the Bible it is very, very simple. Quit making life all about you. When we make life all about our self instead of what we can do for others and what we can bring to the world there’s no grit in that. But when we make our life about serving others and what we can give to the world, God promises this. “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/114/rom.12.2.NKJV Basically, he will transform our minds, and we will know his perfect will for our lives. If you take someone who has never seen a hammer before in their life, they’ll never understand what it’s meant to be used for. But if you bring in the designer of the hammer and he shows you a nail and he place the nail against the wood, and he shows you which side of the hammer to hit it with he drives it halfway in the wood he turns around and shows you the claw and how it pulls the nail out perfectly then you’ll understand the purpose for a hammer. When we sacrifice our self “ our plans what we want” and lay down our self before God, the creator, the designer of the hammer, then he transforms our minds and we can see his perfect will for our life. This is grit. No scientific study or brain scan needed. Try to drive a nail with the claw side of a hammer. That what we are doing when we make life only about our self.

Choosing My Hard: Today’s OOTD — Looking for Honest Critique 👔
What would you adjust if this were you? 👔 I know I’ve got a lot to learn, so I’d love your honest critique. If you see something I could improve—fit, color, accessories, or even how I pulled it together—please share your thoughts. For years, my version of “getting ready” was grabbing jeans, a T-shirt, and some tennis shoes. Quick. Easy. Forgettable. Now, putting together a look like this takes effort—choosing the right shoes, belt, accessories, even socks. It takes time to think about the details. And honestly? It’s hard sometimes. But here’s what I’ve learned: - It’s hard to invest in yourself every morning. - It’s hard to learn fashion and grow in confidence. - It’s also hard to be the man in the room who disappears because he blends into the background. Both are hard—so I’ve chosen my hard. I’m still learning. Still making mistakes. Still figuring out what works for me. But every day I take one more step into understanding the importance of presenting myself well—not just for me, but for the people I lead, the people I love, and the man I want to become. I’m excited about this journey, and grateful to be surrounded by other men who understand that style is more than clothing—it’s character on display.

Very bittersweet
I haven’t shared some news in the midst of our travels. The night we got home from Aruba with only three hours sleep the night before, we got a message that one of my students, a kid whom I was his senior year homeschool director, and his 10 year old confirmation mentor was killed in a motorcycle accident. The family asked that I speak at his celebration of life but since the family was coming in from all over the US they wanted to do it today. They have been a very special family to Anita and I, so of course we brought two cars so the kids can stay at the resort while we drive the 3.5 hours back a day early. My OOTD is my 1985 MTM suit; CT white shirt; silver and green rep tie; black J Fitzpatrick captoes; Byford OTC navy socks.

My heart is with you as you walk alongside this family in their grief. When someone so young is lost, the weight reaches beyond parents, beyond family it shakes everyone who loved him, including friends like you who now carry sorrow of your own. I want to share the ancient blessing spoken over God’s people for generations: “May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24–26 I pray this blessing over you as you grieve, and also over his parents as they walk through this valley of heartbreak. May the Lord bless you with strength when the weight feels unbearable. May He keep you close when the nights are long and silence feels overwhelming. May His face shine upon you, reminding you that even in darkness, His light is not extinguished. May He be gracious to you, carrying what you cannot carry, and holding each tear as precious. May He lift up His countenance upon you, so that you know you are not forgotten that God Himself sees you, grieves with you, and surrounds you with His love. And may He grant peace not the fragile peace of easy answers, but the deep peace that passes understanding, the kind that steadies you moment by moment. Please know that I am lifting both you and this family in prayer. May God’s nearness, comfort, and strength surround you as you stand with them in love during this painful time.
