Running won. let’s keep it simple! 20km by Friday 2359 cut off. ideally a minimum of 3 runs don’t want anyone going out and blasting 20k Friday afternoon if they don’t usually run that far. We know it’s easy to vote on a poll, can you commit to the challenge? For those sickos who voted for the burpees…. I’ve got a challenge in mind I’ll keep it in my back pocket for nowāœ…

I’ve got to concede, unfortunately lads. This week has kicked the shit out of me between immense work and family pressures. The only thing I’m running tonight is a hot bath šŸ›€ Well done all for getting it done! šŸ”±
Boots
Evening, brothers! These bad boys are my Lowa Uplander GTX TF’s. They are old and well worn, but there’s life in them yet. They’re my go-to boots for long walks, climbing and rucking. They were actually the last pair of boots I used whilst working in prison. I always paid a decent bit of money on boots as I could be wearing them for 24 hours and needed to be comfortable. Many a good swift kick to the bollocks was delivered by these! Recently I’ve found they’ve given me the occasional blister, and I’m thinking of replacing the insoles as they’re also old. Do you think that’ll do the trick? Or is it time to put these beauties in to retirement? 🄲

Nah my sock game has been pretty consistent I think. Always lace them up the same way out of habit. I’ve worn these for walks for a couple of years and they’ve never caused blisters.

@Shawn Hendron They’ve earned their retirement. I’ll start keeping my eyes peeled my next ones I think. I’ll try new insoles in the meantime.
Group beasting session
Iv always wanted to do the goruck event. 12 hours of press ups, squats, sand bag exercises and rucking. But they don’t do it in the uk. Who’s up for doing one ourselves. What’s your thoughts?

There’s something wrong with the pair of you. I’m in.
Did it really suck?!
Not really… nothing a rain coat doesn’t fix. Getting ready and out the door is the only real challenge. When I make my training a none negotiable, the emotions that come with training dwindle. When you know in yourself you’re going to do it regardless the emotions, the procrastination and the anxiety you feel before them sessions become irrelevant…. Because you’re going to do it anyways…. Right? You need to build trust in yourself. Trust in yourself that when you say you’re going to do something. Do it. That way you build this trust and relationship with yourself that when that 0500 alarm goes off for that run you’ve been dreading. Or your routine falls apart that day. You know deep down in yourself you’re doing that session or sticking to the game plan. This isn’t just about training. It’s every day life… Who here trust other people, more than themself? Crazy when you think about it. Your family, your children put their trust in you to be a protector and provider. But do you REALLY trust yourself? Consistency - Discipline - Integrity.

This really stuck with me. I’ve had a bad week at work, super stressful and haven’t been feeling ideal. But conditions are rarely ideal are they? Comfort almost got me tonight, but I saw @Chris Jones Instagram story by @Adam Lloyd about getting used to discomfort, grabbed my gym kit and I’ve put in a good strong session. I feel so much better about heading to bed now!
