To me the is a beautiful soft black leather, white floral, some patchouli and a little sweetness. It's not divisive nor a love it or hate it type frag, but may not appeal to some of you. This was my first Mancera, smelled it at Ministry of Scent and I immediately ordered a bottle, like I walked out the store, sat on a bench and ordered it.😂

Eau Forte is described as alcohol-free and water-based, not typical of many potent men’s fragrances Because it’s milder/more subtle than many heavier colognes with less projection and more close-to-skin scent after the first hour.. it may be less overwhelming at night. The combination of spices, soft lavender, and musky woods could feel cozy or comforting rather than energizing.. especially if used sparingly.. Let’s hit the pillows guyz..

Parfums de Marly Herod – A Refined Ode to Tobacco and Spice Herod was my second PDM purchase; the first was, of course, Layton. This was bought on a whim. I was in a meeting scrolling on my phone when the ad popped up on Fragrancebuy.ca. The ask was $125 for a 2.5-oz bottle. I quickly checked online reviews and ordered it. I really have no criticisms, it offered way more than I was expecting and solidified my decision to make PDM a very important house at the start of the collecting process. Although i wanted my new frags to sit on the shelves for a bit, I have to say I was tempted to wear this one today. Same magic but slightly weaker than the discontinued version. But i wanted to know, would the performance of a fragrance improve the longer the bottle sits?
