Might be my longest post so far, so bear with me. Had high hopes after how much I loved Monkey Special. As promised, @Paul Bartnicki , I tried this one out and let’s just say I’m glad I saw your post. Here’s what I think. It opens with crisp and (sexy?) apple, warm saffron, and an amazing rose. Very reminiscent of Byredo Rose of No Man’s Land Absolu. That rich, warm, syrupy rose. About 10 minutes in, the saffron softens a lot and the rose gets deeper. The apple is still present, but now it turns more crystal-sugary, almost candy-like. The leather is super minimal, which is perfect for me since strong leathers aren’t my taste. Close to an hour in, it’s mostly a rose syrup and papyrus fragrance. Super reminiscent of Byredo Eyes Closed, minus the carrot accord. At this stage, the fragrance becomes a bit boring. The addictive appeal dies down slightly. Around the 4-hour mark, it has fully dried down. It’s almost like the fragrance heard my complaint and toned down the rose sweetness. The leather stops being shy and finally shows up, almost like a rockstar leather. Very fitting for Tony Iommi. The leather reminds me of the hard leather cases guitars are transported in. Patchouli and moss support the leather, giving it a dark, almost dirty feel. I didn’t expect to like it this much. I rarely say this, but if there were a fragrance that embodies me, this is the closest one yet. As it stands, this is signature scent worthy. To me, it feels like a great combination of Byredo RONML Absolu and Eyes Closed, leaning slightly masculine. I wish I could layer the two Byredos to see the outcome, but my girlfriend has RONML with her, so that’s not happening for a while. Contrary to what many say, the performance wasn’t a 14-hour beast mode scent. It’s a solid 8-10 hour fragrance, with the first 2 hours almost filling the room. Then it projects strongly within 1-1.5 ft for the next 3 hours. It’s been 6 hours now and it’s around 6 inches and slowly settling into a skin scent. For context, I did 3 sprays.

Which Parfums De Marly is the best that you worn?

So I quickly burned through my decant of Superz Morocco and decided it was full bottle worthy. The bottle arrived yesterday and today I gave it a full wearing. TLDR I think it lives up to the hype and is a fantastic fragrance. This one is… unusual. It opens with a spicy warm aromatic lightly sweet, lightly vanillic, lightly citrus scent with what I can only describe as soapy almond backbone. Not roasted almond, but gentle raw almond - think of a creamy vanilla almond milkshake blended with some luxury soap and aromatic spices, served with a thin slice of orange garnish. There’s something pleasant in the open of this (and Smesh, and Memories Gold) that makes my nose tingle and almost triggers me to sneeze - it’s one of the spices I guess. When the citrus dials back, this is full on lightly spicy warm lightly aromatic vanilla almond soapy milkshake for 3-4 hours, during which time it’s projecting well (I definitely get whiffs every once in a while). After that the spices and projection dial back and it’s a delicious vanilla almond woody warm skin scent for another 3-4 hours. But on clothes, this is a beast — I still smell it easily the next day. This scent is delicious. I generally don’t like almond (e.g. for me, it wrecks all the Guerlains that feature it) but here it absolutely works. The soapiness is interesting - it lifts this fragrance up and makes things a bit playful and versatile - I could see this working day or night, office or date night, maybe even the gym (you will definitely smell unique wherever you go with this). Definitely masculine leaning. Like all Superz, the bottle is only 50ml but has a nice little name plaque and a magnetic cap. I think this could be in my top 5 favorite scents - but given the only ok performance, I can’t put it in my top 5 fragrances overall (but it’s definitely top 10 for me). FWIW I got this through a guy (Juvencio Pereia) I found on FB Marketplace who’s kind of an informal importer for Superz - he says he orders from them weekly and has an eBay store with a bunch of Superz offerings but if you DM him directly on Facebook, he’ll offer a discount — I paid him $100 flat including shipping for the full bottle. I’ve ordered two full size bottles from him so far with zero issues and shipping arriving in a week. I can definitely recommend buying through him (and no, I don’t get a cut). It works out to a pretty good discount vs buying directly from Superz especially when you take into account shipping costs.
