Bow Collection
I believe most of us have a pretty good bow collection. I have about 20 give or take - I know, I'm a lightweight compared to some. What is the most unique or valuable bow in your collection? I rescued this Howatt from a pawn shop 30 years ago. The finish was all but gone and the bow was in rough shape. I bought it for $40 as a project. It's stamped 50# on the inside of the sight window. The belly has the bi-directional glass. Pretty sure it was built in the late 1950s but don't really know. I count this one as my most unique bow. How about you?

What’s on your bow rack?
I’ve been some what of a hoarder since jumping into the traditional archery realm. Top to bottom. Cari-Bow Wolverine long bow 51@-28”, Cari-Bow Silver Fox long bow 55@28”. Les Dunsden long bow 28@28” from the late 50’s early 60’s. Was my dads and he shot it as a kid as did we., Black Widow PL II long bow 52@28”, behind that is a Yellow Stone Hunter long bow 55@28”, 1960’s Ketzler Recurve 44@28”, Cari-Bow Tuktu EX 55@28” and lastly, Black Widow MAIII recurve 57@27”. Not shown is my “Barebow” competition set up. The Black Widow PL II is my newest acquisition. The rest have all been hunted with or used in competition. I think I’m done for a while. However, I keep hearing about the Howard Hill design bows. I’m afraid to touch one LOL.

I have a couple hundred bows. I shoot a Bear TD only because I only want 1 bow that I am totally familiar with . I do not change bows. The rest are collectibles. I have over the last 50 years collected bows quivers broadheads and books but only hunt with one bow.

Well they are all fed and cared for and all within speaking distance so its like an old folks home for bows. And its co-ed so no one gets neglected!

I started before the compound device and never had the desire to change.

I have shot Bear TDs since the mid 70s. I had shot the same TD for 39 years.
