Just had a big win this evening in the garden. I've been trying to work out a way to help Freya start to find her voice, just trying "keepers" as a start which she has always flat out refused, even this evening to begin with. I had a think and said to her.. I'm going to blindfold myself and you have to find a place in this garden and shout pass and I'll see if I can get the ball to your feet just from your voice, suddenly it's a fun game. We did that about 10 times then I said now replace pass with "keepers" and I'll still try to get the ball to you which she did without a problem. Took the blindfold off and then said when this ball crosses those cones just like the passing, shout keepers then get to that ball. It's worked! She even drop kicked it back to me straight after and we had a few more goes. Absolutely amazed by what she's just done. I think it will be a long time before she starts to shout in the games (if at all) but this is a brilliant start and something to build on to be confident doing it.
