@Shannon Boyer I am really hoping so 🙏
Skoolers keeps deleting your posts? Try this.
I've had a few posts deleted on Skoolers. They weren't spammy. They were thought provoking and encouraging. So what's the deal? The last time it happened I asked the Skoolers mod (Alayna) before I tried again. I don't like getting my posts deleted. It makes me feel spammy, even though I'm not. 😩 She responded this way which has helped me know exactly what they are looking for... Lovee that post! 1. There's no self-promo because you're not asking people to join your community or pitching your community. 2. It's on topic because it's pointed back to community. 3. You're asking a question around community which makes it higher quality. 4. You're sharing what you're doing, which makes it not a thought leader article. 5. This is your first post in a couple of days so you're not posting too much! It finally clicked what I was doing wrong with the deleted posts. The posts have to be a question about Skool or related to building community. I believe if you framed any post around building a Skool community it would pass as ok. But, you can send Alayna a DM and ask her if you are unsure.

@Mona Weathers I also had a couple of posts deleted. Due to me posting the previous day and content was similar to another post. So yeah they really watch carefully what going on. Its all part of the learning process though.

Something Profound Just Happened
I watched a video from a Skool owner who suggested treating your community LIKE A COMMUNITY and not a funnel. Whenever you are posting anything, whenever you are commenting, always have it in the back of your mind that your community is just that. Don't just see it as a money tree. Of course, we are all selling something at some point, but it doesn't have to be every day or even every week. A funny thing happened. My members are now starting to have conversations between themselves, helping each other out and popping back to see what's new. I love that! I'm not saying I was doing anything wrong before, but keeping the "community" spirit in mind when I'm crafting my posts really does shape the way my community is shaped and delivers so much more than it did before. For that reason, I have posted a lot more fun things (nothing to do with YouTube or content creation), and the engagement has really picked up since doing so. Have you found this in your community? Would really love some feedback on how you've been encouraging engagement.

I find it to get interactions in both of my communities, but I think i am trying to "be a community" it is free and no cost involved so there is no financial gain for me at this point anyways lol

@Des Dreckett Good idea, thanks
Can Posts and Comments Look and Sound more Confident?
You know that spike of panic when you open Skool, see 47 notifications, and suddenly your amazing post idea feels impossible? I've been there. Multiple times this week, actually. I get excited about sharing something valuable, then I see all those notifications and think "I need to respond to everyone first" and then "how will I have time to create my post" and before I know it... I've closed the app and avoided it for the rest of the day. But yesterday I discovered something that might change everything. I stumbled upon a video by Vinh Giang, a renowned communications coach I highly recommend his work. He was talking about a confidence framework that blew my mind. Here's the key insight: we don't need to feel confident before we look confident - we need to look and sound confident before we feel confident. When we act, look, and sound confident, even our own brain perceives us as more confident. I've experienced this myself - put on a sharp suit? I feel different. Use communication techniques I've practiced? Instant confidence boost. So I started wondering: does this work online too? What does "looking confident" mean when we're just text on a screen? What does "sounding confident" mean when people are reading our words, not hearing our voice? Here's what I think I've figured out so far: Visual Confidence Online: - Posting quickly with authentic emotion (not overthinking every word) - Using GIFs that match your personality - Consistent voice across all your posts and comments - Well-structured longer posts that feel like YOU, not an overly-edited version of you Auditory Confidence Online: - Comments that sound natural, not sterilized - Punctuation that has personality (your style, not grammar perfection) - Taking up space with your ideas instead of apologizing for them I'm going to experiment with these ideas and see what works. I'm going experiment by trying to applying one of these confidence behaviors to each post and comment I make this week.
