NO.11 Reading
Today we will read about Zhineng Qigong’s perspective on consciousness:
"Zhineng Qigong posits that consciousness is a unique content and process of activity within the Yiyuanti. It originates from various information in both the internal and external environments of the human body. The internal environment refers to information from life activities within the body, while the external environment refers to information outside the body. When this information becomes active within the Yiyuanti, it manifests as consciousness.
At different stages of human life activities, the expression of consciousness varies.
During infancy and early childhood, movement and consciousness are integrated, forming sensory-motor thinking.
In later childhood and early youth, it develops into imaginal thinking.
By adulthood, it transitions into logical thinkin -- the use of concepts for thought.
Practicing Qigong can also lead to extraordinary forms of thinking -- heightened intuitive thinking—an advanced form of cognition based on holistic perception rather than partial awareness.
Here, as we discuss the Yiyuanti, we first need to develop an understanding of it."
