General Partner (GP)
A General Partner in a real estate syndication is a sponsor. Think of them as a CEO/ manager.
They do all of the ground work to make sure their team sees returns.
They find the investment property.
They put the deal together and create a business plan.
They bring together investors’ capital.
They execute the day-to-day tasks.
They keep everyone updated and answer any questions.
They exit (sell) the property and distribute the funds amongst the team.
