WEEK 1 (FEB 23-27) TRAINING FOCUS
Week 1 Focus – Building the Speed Foundation Parents, This week we are focusing on acceleration mechanics and proper deceleration control for the athletes who do our performance plus program with agility training. What that means: • Teaching athletes how to project their body forward efficiently • Developing strong first-step explosion • Learning how to stop safely and under control Why this matters: Acceleration is the most important part of game speed. Most plays in youth and high school sports happen within the first 10–20 yards. We are also emphasizing proper stopping mechanics to reduce knee and ankle stress and build long-term durability. This is our foundation phase. We build it correctly now so we can safely increase intensity in later weeks. All sessions are now being hosted in Menifee, park location will vary. Let’s have a great week!🦾

WEEK 2 Training Update
Last week, our primary focus was acceleration. Every athlete made small technical adjustments that improved their ability to project forward, apply force efficiently, and build momentum in their sprint. We’ll be maintaining this same focus over the next two weeks. Acceleration training is less demanding than max velocity work, which allows us to safely increase repetition quality and volume. This helps us continue building skill while keeping athletes healthy throughout this 12-week block. This Week’s Emphasis: - Detailed breakdown of the 3-point stance - Technical mastery of the first 3 steps - Learning how to properly project and build momentum from the ground up These first steps are critical. When executed correctly, they set the foundation for everything that follows in the sprint. Over the next two weeks, we’ll continue building acceleration strength and technical precision step by step. The goal is to reduce injury risk while establishing a strong, repeatable speed foundation for your athlete. 📍 All sessions will be held at Lago Vista Park in Menifee unless otherwise specified. Looking forward to another strong week of development.

🚨 7TH GRADER JUST DROPPED 0.6 IN 6 WEEKS
TRAYNELL (7th Grade) 6.1 ➝ 5.5 In 6 weeks. And he’s only in 7th grade. Let’s talk about what that actually means. Traynell started with us mid-January. He showed glimpses of potential of his ability but his times did not yet reflect what i knew he was capable of. I knew that all he needed was some consistent structure in his speed, power and agility to get to the next level. Most youth athletes train hard. Very few train correctly. Now he’s sitting at 5.5… And he’s projected to hit the 4’s before his 8th grade season. That’s separation speed. That’s varsity-ready speed. That’s confidence walking onto the field. The biggest mistake I see? Most parents wait to fix speed. The athletes who separate early? They build it NOW. Tray is proof of why speed and athletic development now is one of the best investments you can make for a young athlete.

🚨 7TH GRADER JUST DROPPED 0.6 IN 6 WEEKS
🚀 DAVID’S 40-YARD TRANSFORMATION (5.6 ➝ 5.2 in 23 Training Days)
From 5.6 to 5.2 in 30 Days. With a week vacation in between. So really only 23 days. and not even 23 session days only 12 sessions of actual speed training. Let that sink in. David is a junior at West Valley High School. He came in as a lineman. Strong. Powerful. But he knew something was missing… Speed. Projection angle. Acceleration mechanics. Top-end efficiency. THE PROBLEM: - Popping up out of his start - Losing power in first 10 yards - Not maximizing his stride efficiency - Built like a lineman… moving like a lineman THE PLAN: We attacked:✔️ Shin angles in first 3 steps✔️ Proper forward projection✔️ Frontside mechanics✔️ Force application into the ground✔️ Transition phase mechanics THE RESULT: 5.6 ➝ 5.2 In technically 3 weeks of work. Now? He moves like someone who could legitimately play: - Linebacker - Running Back - Defensive Edge - That’s what real speed development does. It doesn’t just drop times. It changes identity.
