How did we make it without them back in the day.

I drove out to Tennessee (From California) I took my laptop (but forgot my charger) I was like that's cool I can do most things with just my phone. Stopped at a rest stop and somehow my phone went missing. (Its not just my phone its my wallet my ID my everything) I knew I would not be back for over a week. I called my carrier and had my new phone shipped but they would only send it to my home address and I had my spare ID shipped to my friends address in TN. I feel like it was such a set back on my business. I know I will be ok but WOW how we are dependent on our phones. How did we make it without them back in the day?
