Cartier Strap advice?

I am loving my new tank. What would you do if none of the holes in the leather strap is just right? I have a kind of small, 6.5 wrist. The second to last hole in the strap fits comfortably, but the watch is loose enough that it rotates around all day, and I find I’m constantly putting it in place. I can also fit the strap into the last hole, but it’s borderline too tight. The AD told me it would take a bit of time for the leather to break in. So should I wear it on the tighter hole and see if it breaks in? Or does that risk just stretching it such that I can’t use the second to last hole any more because then it will just be more loose?
