This morning Arnie and I discussed Proverbs 3:18-35 which covers so many of these different ideas around how we should walk out life and hold different things in tension. It talks about how God founded the earth through wisdom, it talks about the destruction of the wicked, it talks about trusting in the Lord, humility, and taking action. Verse 25 -27 says: You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap." Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when its in your power to help them. Even these 3 verses hold some real keys for us 1) Dont be afraid of sudden disaster 2) Trust the Lord and make him your security 3) Dont just sit back and be passive, we are actually called to be a light and to take action no matter whats going on around us. God has called us to steward what he's given us, and be a light to the world around us. What's one thing you want to take action on this week?

“Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16:3 (NLT) Something I’ve been working on lately is actually stopping to pray about my decisions. Honestly, it’s something I’ve let slip as a father. As a dad life is so full, there’s always more to do, your mind is so occupied by "what next", and it’s so easy forget to stop and pray. So that’s my goal right now: stop, and pray about it first. What’s one "action" or "plan" you’re carrying right now that you want to commit to the Lord this week?
