The pursuit of fun
Thanks for the call this week guys, yesterday Rhys and I tackled a topic that is so important to wrestle over. Society tells us we've only got one life so have no regrets, work hard and play harder. But Proverbs says those who love pleasure become poor, and fools spend whatever they get. Something I took away from our call was how everyone does fun differently, and sees it differently. The real question is why. Why are you pursuing that fun? Is it for you, or is it for your family? Is it to consume time and resources, or to build connection or resilience in your family. One thing I know is that its important to have fun as a family somehow, but that looks for everyone. What are some ways that you have had fun as a family in a way that's really built up your connections and/or your childrens resilience? Share below. Reminder: I've put the key points from the call in the "weekly wisdom" classroom course.

Tomorrows call
Hey guys, looking forward to tomorrows call. A couple of weeks ago Rhys and I talked about fitness and how we can do it together as a community to make it fun. Tomorrow we'll discuss: - Your personalized goals for your fitness - Why do you want to get fit? (Including Functionality and freedom). - How we integrate it into our life so it doesnt become a big energy drain - How to keep it cost effective and use what you got - How to turn it into a fun family affair. - How we are going to egg eachother on by celebrating our wins and encouraging each other when we need it.

Mindset Monday
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Proverbs 16:3 (NLT) says: Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed. What is one goal you have this week?

My big one is creating a fitness plan and tracker
Go deep, and deeper still
This weeks been a challenging week, my nasty cold turned into a pneumonia, I've had some challenging conversations, and thats not even half of it. But its got me thinking, when you start going on a journey from surviving to thriving, you have to get rid of the old ways to make way for the new. Often it's easier to pretend like everything is okay than to discover that there's more of a mess than you thought. When you focus on your why and keep your vision at your forefront you'll dig deep, and deeper still. Every moment, every hardship, every painful moment in our lives is an opportunity to find deeper healing, deeper growth, deeper love. I'm done living a shallow life, I want to go deep, so bring on the challenges because we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. What's one challenge you're going through at the moment? I want this to be a space where we can be real and share with other guys, you don't have to carry it alone.
