In reflection of this video it dawned on me that I extended an invitation a few months back to a sibling for a conversation technically using the consent boundary.
The offer wasn't accepted until 3 weeks ago but I was still open and it ended up being a great conversation where I was able to just sit and listen as this sibling I love spoke their truth.
The time we had set was an hour and I have to admit I was so surprised at how effective it was for the both of us to have the consent to the time and space agreed upon initially.
From here, Id like to feel myself holding this boundary of permission in my other daily roles as well.
